I'm kind of fascinated by how a person can be wearing such an elaborate costume and still manage to be almost naked. Props to the creators for conquering a considerable design challenge!
Must be expert sewist, experience with feathers and rhinestones a plus. Must be familiar with national customs/dress. Willing to drop acid prior to designing required. Being part feline a plus.

The fact that these women can walk in super high heels while wearing 10lbs of feathers and structural supports on their heads is also quite the feat.
I think Germany is growing on me. She walked out with the Berlin wall cape around her, and when she approached the microphone, the cape came off and unified Germany emerged. At least that's what I'm surmising from pics.

Yeah at first I was like... What is this? What is happening? But now that I understand the concept I really like it. I like that its a cute dress and it tells a story and not just a clump of strategically placed sequins and feathers.

Plus a nod to Check Point Charlie/Wall graffiti on her cape.
Count on Germany to highly conceptualize their Miss Universe costume.

Switzerland and Israel are trying to outbore each other.
I love Spain and her boobs. I also love France's and Colombia's costumes.
I especially love all the ladies who are like, "Here, I shall honor the native peoples of my country in their traditional attire and 7-inch platform hooker heels."
