I could use some ideas/suggestions for home decor if anyone is up for giving suggestions
Our entry way - I was planning on doing a good sized table that has a drawer, and then a bench across from it and maybe off centered a bit but now I'm second guessing it.
this is looking from the family room into the entry hall - I planned for the table to be on the left, it's the wall going up the stairs and the open door into the dark room is the den, which will eventually be my sitting room.
when you walk in the front door, looking to the left you see the stairs:
this is looking straight on when walking in the front door - I was thinking of putting the bench there, but would it look off being kind of near the door into the sitting room?
another view, the table would go to the left and the bench would be to the right (I'm thinking you wouldn't be able to see the bench from this angle, because it'd be closer to the sitting room door)
here's looking down the stairs, at the front door.
And, for my next challenge...the TV (ignore my husband watching Annabelle - he's into these movies that creep me out). What would look good on each side of the TV? I think those floating shelves would be good, but H doesn't like them. He thinks art...but he likes city-scape art, whereas I like abstract.
ETA: Sorry, so annoying those entry pics are sideways. I have no idea why! They weren't taken that way and were uploaded normally.
I'm still not totally understanding the layout, but what about a chest of drawers, an arm chair and a mirror for the entry way? This could give you some storage for things too.

I didn't even think of doing a chest and chair - that's a good idea...I'll see what H says. He's more interested in this stuff than any guy should be.
It's hard to explain the entry kinda - when you walk in the from door and look directly to your left you see up the stairs. If you take like 2 steps forward from the door, you see the wide hall and to the right is the doorway to the den/sitting room. The left is where I am thinking the table. Does that make sense?
I also think I was thinking a bigger piece because we don't have a mantle so for decorating during holidays etc it'd be the perfect place to switch out for each season/holiday.

I'm also trying to change our tv space, but it's harder because we don't own this place so I'm not going to deal with mounting the tv, although I like how that looks. I'm just changing ours because I was bored with it, but I had large vases with branches on either side, which I really liked. Plus it's not much work, but made it feel fancy.
If you don't (like us), then I think it looks nice to have neutral things around it that aren't competing with the tv:
If you do mount it, I like having the tv blend in with the other things around it:

It's hard to know scale, but a bench AND a table seems like it would be a bit cramped. I'd probably do a storage bench on the left, like MrsPotatohead posted, and then maybe a photo collage along the right.
For the tv, the stand seems a bit small for the size of tv. If you're keeping the stand, I'd probably add some tall shelves or ladder shelves on either side to take the main focus away from the tv. Similar to the first photo @uwhuskygirl posted.

Sorry I didn't come back in here - I've been crazy busy.
We actually just bought the TV stand, so we're keeping that...I am not so worried about the focus being the TV, because honestly, it's huge...it would be hard to make it not be the focus. I really like the shelves on each side, so I'll have to work on H and convince him it's a good route to go.
For the entry, I think you all have good points. I feel like the entry is really wide, but both may be too much. I love that entry table that you posted MrsPotatohead, with the mirror and two large baskets underneath, I may have to go that route.
