We have very little planned this weekend, which is nice. So we headed out as a family to the grocery store this morning. The store didn't have the granola bars I wanted, so we popped into a little specialty store on the way home that I knew would have them. DH and the kid waited in the car because I was just grabbing the one thing.
Lines were a mess, so I ended up in line behind 2 people, one paying, and one with their stuff all up on the belt. A couple more people got behind me, so they opened up another line. Even though I'm standing there, pregnant and holding a single item, the couple behind me with a full cart of groceries busted ahead of me so they could get over to the new lane before me. Are you kidding me?
I have to remember that lean forward peeing trick!
I'm pooped. Not that I've done a whole lot today, but have been somewhat nonstop between cooking (I'm so slow in the kitchen) and laundry. If anything I do feel accomplished, so that's good. Still have a bunch of stuff I want to do tomorrow.

I woke up to go to the bathroom to find a text from one of my favorite friends. The last time I talked to her, I ended up irritated, so I decided to take a little break from texting/calling her.
She sent me a picture of a hat she made for the baby. This woman is a gifted surgeon with two kids of her own, and she took the time out of her evenings at home to make a beautiful crocheted hat for the bean. I may have started sobbing like a baby.
I bought a couple of nursing bras. Evidently I need just about the largest cup size made. Sigh.
Here's hoping these fit because I really have no alternatives. At least they had some that seem okay.
After your supply has established (around 6 weeks) go to Nordstrom and get fitted for a bra. Their alterations department can convert any normal bra into a nursing bra for not very much (I think it was $5 or $10).
This. Is. Amazing. Thanks for sharing!
I'm debating what to do about bras. I bought larger non-nursing bras a few weeks ago and they are now killing me after a few hours. On the weekends I wear a sports bra, but it's not doing much to give me any ... lift. Also, doesn't really stop the world from seeing my hard nips. It's fine for home but I don't love it for work. Ugh.
I have not gone up a bra size and my regular bras are still very comfortable. Is this a bad sign for my ability to BF?
I'm in the same boat as you though I wouldn't say mine are very comfortable. I hope it's not a bad sign. I mentioned it to my mom who said hers didn't grow much til her milk came in and she didn't have any problems. So hopefully we don't either.
Also I think I remember you saying you haven't gained much weight so far and neither have I so maybe that has something to do with it?

That's good to know they do conversions--the place I went to actually has WAY more large size selection than Nordstrom and does normal alterations but not to nursing.
I've had some trouble in the past finding a good selection of regular bras at Nordstrom. It'll depend where I end up--if I end up back at 38 band, Nordstrom has a good selection, If it's a 40, they usually don't carry a lot.

Could mean your bras were a little big to start?
I've never heard much correlation between the two. And I've had all sorts of hormonal things happen the opposite of most people's experiences but I am still carrying a nearly full term baby:)

They can order online, ship to their alterations department and then ship to you (no cost for the shipping). They did that for me because they only had the bra I liked in lace.
Oh no--that's what I meant--in their whole supply they don't tend to carry the brands that run larger. I am a fan of the online ordering for a lot of stuff with Nordstrom, but they just don't have the bra selection.
I've been wearing these cheap $5 soft cup bras from Walmart for the entire 1st tri. they have removable padding to hide my nips and provide pretty good support so far. they stretch out a bit over time, but then I just hand wash and air dry, and they fit better again. I plan to wear them until I can't.

Where are they hurting? I have found I had to find decent NO wire bras for first tri.
Under my sternum.
The last time I wore a bra all day, I took it off as soon as I got home from work (so about 6). I *still* had the mark all the way around from the band the next day.
I was wearing a 36D before I got pregnant and I've moved up to a 38D on the loosest set of hooks.

OMG I am trying not to faint at a $56 bra. Ok. So.
Would you buy the 38D or would you go up to a 40? Do you think it's safe to assume it will still fit after the baby comes? If I could believe that, I could justify buying two, I think.
Sorry, I know I'm being obnoxious here.
ETA - does it offer any ... lift? additional support? or is it just like a t-shirt type bra w/ no underwire? i wear a formed, wired bra in general so i'm nervous about a change. lol that THIS is the big change causing me worry.

I am 35/35 today and I already feel like I'm done. I'm all of a sudden SO swollen, my ankles and hands. I'm also starting to panic a little bit, panic about do I have everything done, panic about going into early labor/water breaking in public. Panic about getting everything done at work.
I know it will all work out, I'm normally very level headed and great under pressure, but this is killing me. I think it's the fear of the unknown.
Any tips for the last month of pregnancy? Anything you're glad you did/wish you'd done?
I just made my to-do list for pre-baby and immediately post (includes ordering birth announcements, adding baby to health insurance and calling the pedi from the hospital), and it is 32 items long. I thought I had more done than this!

24 weeks today, woo hoo for viability!
Well we just finished food shopping in preparation for the 3 feet of snow we might be getting. I'm anticipating my office being closed on Tues, which is awesome, but I'll also need to postpone my glucose test and ultrasound I was supposed to have that day. I was looking forward to seeing my girl! My lower back is sore, not sure if it's from high heels and dancing last night, or teaching kettlebell this morning. Probably a combination of all of the above.

Wait. Can you share this list? I'm worried that there are things I should be doing.
