Did you get them from a bike shop? If so, have the bike shop help you adjust the saddle (they are called saddles, not seats). Also, do you have padded bike shorts? If not, get them. That is one reason they are padded. Also, your butt will get used to it. Tons of saddle info. in the link in my sig.
bike saddles are highly personal. What one person finds really comfy another might HAAAATE, so recommendations are only worth so much.
ditto sadlebred - get it fitted and get shorts, but yes, there is definitely a significant ass break-in period even in a well fitted seat. And some just aren't configured well for your particular ass bones. If after it's adjusted and you have shorts, it's still causing significant pain (or actual rubs/blisters/etc) after a few weeks of steady riding then try something different. With or without a cutout, less padding, padding in different spots, wider, narrower, more rounded, more square - depends on the current saddle you're trying to use and what exactly is bothering you about it.
Thank you! I have been fitted at the bike store and have the padded shorts that arent doing the trick so I think i will have to start poking around for something better fitted for my ass. I have a wide ass and this current saddle is so narrow so I will see what I can find that fits me better.
You actually want fairly narrow. You want your sit bones supported not the soft tissue around the sit bones (aka "your butt"). If you can find a store that has what is commonly known as an "arse O'Meter" to measure the width of your sitbones, they can recommend saddles from there. You definitely do not want this:
