This may sound kind of lame, but what about putting some sort of a marker outside and tomorrow you guys can keep track throughout the day of how much snow you've gotten so far? That seems like something A would love to look at.
Definitely throw a bowl out to catch snow for snow cream. I've seen something before about putting baking soda (I think) on snow, then putting food colored vinegar in a squeeze bottle to do colorful fizzy spots in the snow. You may have to google. Do you have board games? We're super into board games here

Cotton ball snowman crafts! If it's too deep or too cold, you can make "snow" inside. I did for A and it keeps in a container and I got her little construction trucks to push in it. It's baking soda and white conditioner and has snow consistency. 3 cups baking soda, 1/2 cup conditioner.
Or bring some in and just play until it melts! Movies and hot chocolate. Shaving cream paint in the shower (muffin tin filled with shaving cream, mix a couple drops of food coloring, paint brush).
I'm assuming we will have no school Tuesday or Wednesday with what the forecast is saying. Tuesday is going to be a blizzard all day so I'm doing an anything goes day. We will do a movie and popcorn, I'll let then have iPad time, we will bake cookies , bust out the play doh, I'll let them run through the house like maniacs... Wednesday I'm hoping I can get them out, at least to a play date nearby or just building snow forts. If it isn't awful and we can make it to the train we will go to my friend who has an indoor pool in her building .
Planned activities, for sure! Broken up with TV time. I'd get supplies to do baking - make cookies from scratch and then get icing and sprinkles for decorating. Art projects like painting, playdough, or craft sticks and glue to build a house, which you can later paint. We do elongated baths in our big tub with lots of cups and containers. Maybe pick up some bath crayons too? I also try to keep myself busy with projects like maybe have the girls "help" you organize their closets. Yesterday we de-Christmased the house (don't judge) and V was sortaaaa helpful.

We pretty much just play and watch TV. She will sit at the table and I pretend to be a waiter and we play restaurant. It's kind of hard to do some activities when Nolan is crawling around being destructive, but during his nap times we paint and color.
Build a fort! Sheets, pillows, sofa cushions, cardboard boxes, folding table - all good building materials. Set up camp with some books, puzzles etc. to play with in there.
Create a toddler obstacle course (similar to the fort idea) - hopping on pillows (big rocks), a blue blanket (river to cross).
Dance party - we can stream youtube on our tv, so we make a playlist of music videos and dance while we watch them
Toddler bowling - big plastic cups and a rubber ball
Crafts, baking (or decorating cookies or cupcakes), homemade play dough (you get an activity out of making it & playing with it,) sensory bins (rice, water, snow, beans, kinetic sand,) extra play time in the bath, window painting, board games, forts & of course movies.
Most of my days are pretty much like snow days since we stay inside a lot. So we would color, play cars like 500 times, watch tv or movie he's into that day. Maybe make banana bread or something together cause he loves that. Then be lazy when we can. If it isn't too cold, then I would play in the snow some.
