34 weeks! It was scary in the moment but everything worked out and I'm kind of glad, for my husbands sake, that he missed out on all the last month bitching I was ready to do about not sleeping well lol.
Sorry! I think I posted as you posted your update.
If you have a newborn do NOT go to the shower. That's just crazy talk. Skype/Facetime yourself and the baby in. The hosts or grandmothers can take turn opening gifts for you.
They are saying they would postpone it to do it during my maternity leave.
So I would be all post-partumy and in the middle of figuring out having a newborn and I'm already stressed about only having 6-7 weeks to get time with her before going back to work.
Ugh, I feel like I'm being ungrateful but it's just not at all what I expected things to be.
Girl, no. What would you tell someone else on here who was trying to let her family go ahead with such nonsense? You'd rip that poor thing a new one. Don't let their excitement run roughshod over you. Go ahead and schedule it for 38 weeks. No postponing, no rain date.

I was a cm dilated at 26w, was put on bed rest, continued to dilate and efface for the next ten weeks. At 36w my ob released me from bed rest and apologized. Lol.
At 40w I was 4cm and 80%. Still no contractions. I was induced at 40+4 for slightly raised bp and basically being whiny.

39 weeks on the dot. Although DD was my second delivery so I feel like I missed the "typical" first pregnancy going past 40 weeks, and moved into the second pregnancy being quicker scenario.

My water started to leak at 37 weeks exactly, DD was born 3 days later.
DS was born at 38 weeks, five days. I was on bed rest for six weeks prior to that for low amniotic fluid and pre-term labor issues. I got up in the middle of the night to have a spoonful of peanut butter, realize my water was just starting to leak, then took a half of Benadryl and went back to bed since it took 3.5 days to have DD and I wasn't doing that again with no sleep. He was born 18 hours later.
I had #2 (c-section) at 39 weeks because the doctor was going to be in Hawaii until a week after I was due. He gave me a choice to do it then or to do it when he got back.
