I grocery shop once a week so I tend to not run out before a snowpocalypse unless it's supposed to happen on the day I'm supposed to shop. Then I might go early. But in Ohio, I don't think it's particularly likely that I'll be snowed in for more than a week.
I sent my H snowpocypse grocery shopping last night. He came back with milk, frosted Gronk flakes and so many microwave dinners I couldn't fit them all in my freezer. He had no response when I pointed out that we were more than likely going to lose power so microwave dinners would do us no good other than to say that's what the cereal is for.

Jake bought tons of food last night. We always have canned beans, at the very worst.
My job today is laundry, and buying toilet paper, paper towels, and the stuff I need for the memorial Saturday. But I stayed up late reading and I'm tired and can't get off my butt even though Wild Kratts is on.

We have random canned things like green beans, chickpeas, chicken, tuna and beets. We have pasta. We won't starve, but I'm getting caught up in the hype.
I am having him pick up batteries and a few more flashlights.
I went yesterday and got tortilla chips, salsa & queso, ingredients to make soup and ingredients to make cookies. I'm not even entertaining the possibility of losing power, I will lose my mind.
I got some extra produce, and an extra loaf of bread. I expect we'll all be at home eating lunch together for an extra day or two this week. We normally have a very full chest freezer, pantry, and fridge.
Paper plates and plastic utensils in case we lose power because that means we lose power and I can't wash dishes.
I did this a few years ago. Best decision. Now we always have one unopened pack of plates and bowls in with our bulk pantry items. I already have disposable cups and utensils in a bin where we keep party supplies. The last time we lost power for days on end, our sink and dishwasher were full of dirty dishes, and we had no disposable tableware.

I always try and keep paper plates and napkins around just for when I'm feeling lazy, lol.
All of our dishes are washed-but I'm making some homemade cheese-itz later so I'll have to wash the mixing bowl and cookie sheet-but other than that we are dirty dish free!
We have almost all the laundry done, so that's good. Two shovels, a straw broom and ice melt (safe for children and pets).
