I got a magical baby that sleeps. She had been sleeping 10 hours a night since 6 weeks until last week...she will be 4 months on Friday.
She does have a small cold and an ear infection in one ear. Is on amoxicillin- day 4. She is getting better, isn't coughing anymore and is not as stuffy as she has been last week. She started waking up anywhere from 2 to 6 times a night, mostly wanting to nurse. She is trying to break out of her swaddle even though I have the escape proof method going on with her. Her day naps have always been crap so idk if there is a change there. She also is refusing the paci (this may be ear infection related?).
idk what I should do? KOKO? Since she is sleeping like crap anyway should I unswaddle her and transition her to the pnp (in the rnp now)?
Sounds like 4MW to me. Some babies get through it in a couple of weeks. Some don't. I sleep trained DD around 5 months and it worked quickly. I sleep trained DS around 6 months and... it didn't.

I have a magical baby too but she has gone through a couple 2-weekish phases where her sleep was not good at all. I always wonder if that's it, if she'll be a crap sleeper now, but so far she has gone back to being a good sleeper. So, I might give it another week or so and see if she goes back to her old schedule.
Also, is she rolling yet? Are you comfortable with her being a tummy sleeper? I think that really helped once we unswaddled J.
narockshard she is so close to rolling over, but not there yet. I think it could be any day. Maybe I'll wait till she can roll over. Hoping my DD reverts back like yours does!

Heh, I started putting J on her tummy before she was technically rolling...but she was really close and had great head control so I wasn't worried.

Definitely sounds like the 4MW. You could sleep train now but I personally waited in hopes that she'd grow out of it like most babies do. She didn't (and thinks actually got worse as the weeks went on) so I reached my breaking point 2 months later and STed then.

Mine is doing this right now too, I assumed it was the 4MW. I'm waiting it out for now and hoping he goes back to his much more acceptable previous sleep habits within a month or so.
