Little things: my Starbucks today is awesome! They made it just right Also, the Superbowl. I really dislike both teams (it should have been the Packers!!) but I always do a big spread of food so I'm excited for that.
Big things: Our brand new car that I've been driving for a week. I just love it so much. It has keyless entry and is push start which is incredible. I haven't had to dig for keys in over a week. They just stay at the bottom of my purse. Also our trip to Breckenridge in March. At first I wasn't thrilled because I don't ski, but getting away for a week and staying in the mountains will be fun!
Me too! It's crazy that we're so close to having our babies! Do you know the gender or name yet?
It really is crazy! When I think 32 weeks, I think "Oh, so much time. La di da." When I think approx 8 weeks left, I think "Holy shit. So soon! Panic!"
We are team green! Boy will be Ari, girl is still TBD.
DH is all "la di da" and I'm panicking. We need furniture, clothes, car seat install, a ton of stuff! Right now babygirl has nowhere to sleep!
Little: making a new cookie recipe for a party this weekend.
Big: going back to work next week. I'm excited to interact with adults again and there is a ton of stuff to do. Also excited to see how DH manages on his own for two months. I've done 99% of the child care for DS2 up to this point. He was great with DS1 for his two months off but I think he's forgotten how much work it is.
I have been playing piano again. I took lessons for 8 years as a child but quit in high school and have wanted to get back to it for a few years. I am waking up before my kids specifically to practice at least 30 minutes daily.
I have been playing since Christmas and I am near to perfecting the last piece I played when I was in high school (I figured where I left off is a good place to start back).
One of my reasons for coming back is the desire to learn one of my favorite pieces of music on earth, Clair de Lune by Debussy. I want to learn the "real" version and not a simpler arrangement. It's fairly advanced: max40353.free.fr/sheets/classique/Clair_de_Lune_New_Edition/Lune.pdf
Anyway, I just started learning it this morning. EEK! I am excited and scared of it all at once.
I think it is reasonable to expect that this is going to take me a year or more, but I am so excited to try. If I master this piece it will be a major accomplishment that I will feel amazing about.
Little: group run with my mom running group Saturday, Super Bowl gtg at a friend's house Sunday, the aforementioned Chipotle for lunch today.
Big(ish): the date night I'm planning in a few weeks. My parents are taking AJ overnight, and we're going here www.facebook.com/Barrel44, here if J doesn't drink too much whiskey at the first place 16-bitbar.com/, and hopefully ending the night at the bar by our house with our friends.
Big: J is getting a lot closer to being able to close MILs estate, finally (she passed away 2 years ago in April). He can't wait to put this whole mess behind him, poor guy

In the next couple of days, my DH will likely accept a job offer which will determine where we move and where my DD starts kindergarten. I'm just excited that we will have real, actual forward progress in our lives.
Also, next week I'm running a relay from Miami to key west with my sister. Then, my DH is meeting me in Miami for 4 glorious kid free nights in South Beach!!

Little: It's my day off, I stopped at Starbucks on the way home from dropping DD off at daycare, and I'm currently caught up at work, so I have the whole day to work on Baby Boy's quilt.
Big: We've made it a month sticking to our new "two in daycare" budget. I know a month isn't that long, but it's actually felt pretty comfortable, so I'm feeling hopeful! I was not feeling hopeful about it at all before we started it, so this is a big deal to me.
Little thing: we are having DD's pictures taken on Saturday. I signed up for a Valentine's mini session figuring we could just use them as 6 month pictures as well. The photog had trouble with the location she booked for the mini sessions, so offered to come to us instead. So we are having the pictures done at my parents house. And we are taking a family picture with my dad, stepmom, brother, sister, DH, me and DD all wearing our KU gear. It's cheesy, but I'm really excited about it!
Big thing: DH and I were struggling with our relationship and the learning curve of us both working and having DD but I feel like this last week we have really turned a corner and things are much more relaxed and fun in our house. Fingers crossed they stay that way!
little-super bowl party this weekend at my friend's house big-dd's bday party in 2 weeks, our 1st family vacation to San Diego, work trips to San Fran and China coming up

Little: Getting back in shape again! There are so few non-kid related things in my life, but running is one of them. I'm so excited to be getting to do it again.
Big: Related to the first, looking forward to training for a 10K and maybe even a half-marathon by the end of 2015!
Little: I ordered a CK yoga wrap on sale and it should be here today. I love Cardigans. Also new sippy cups for DS so we can start the no more bottle transition. I have on can of formula left and after that we're done!
Big: As of today I am five pounds from my pre-baby weight. It's been a long damn year in that dept. so yay. Still 10 from where I want to be, but I finally feel much much better physically so hopefully it comes off fast now!

My new double jogging stroller is supposed to arrive today! Longer term, my brother and his wife are due in May with their first. After a loss and lots of struggles, I can't wait to meet my nephew!
