I have two accounts. One is for work and I try to post something almost every day so parents can see what's going on in the classroom. The other is my personal account and it's just to share random life moments and see my friends' random life moments.
How do you create two accounts?
I think I just logged out of IG and then created another account with my work name and email. It's a pain logging out and back in all the time but it works really well and parents love it!
I have two. One is personal use and the other is for my business/ selling DD clothes.
I started using IG as a way to share an annoying amount of photos of my daughter. I didn't want my FB getting too blown up with her photos so I figured this way I can upload without feeling bad or guilty.
It's also a way we can share the photos with our IL's they seem to like it more than FB. I can also see photos of my family, friends. Yes it's kind of like facebook but IMHO I do prefer it more? Can't tell you why.
For my embroidery business I upload finished work and what I have in stock to make for others, with a price, website and quick blurb. Others are really turning to IG as a way to sell. I also tend to buy from a few shops second hand clothing for my daughter. Often for really good prices. Sometimes I don't like buying clothing lots so this allows me to get exactly what I want without having to sort through and give away the rest.
My baby has taken over my IG account, I can't help myself! I follow friends and fashion/home/travel bloggers and celebrities, as well as a few stores. I love IG so much.

My photos are mostly of my kids, family, and travels. I have a lot of family followers, so it's a way of sharing photos with them. I much prefer IG over FB, and my family and friends are more active on IG as well.
As for the overall look of my feed: I tend to use the same few filters so the tones are similar, and every so often I go through and delete some photos that are too busy and/or less pretty, usually ones that are showing off what we're doing on a particular day, like going to a museum or hanging out with cousins. It also keeps my feed from getting too unwieldy so it doesn't take me ages to go back to the beginning to reminisce.
@holly, I love how all of your photos are so light and airy. I wish my feed looked as pretty as yours does! But it's hard to make three crazy, colorful kids look artistic without using Inkwell and Willow all the time. lol.
eta: I follow mostly family and friends, along with a few celebrities, bloggers, and travel sites.
Thank you! I try to keep my photos clean and clear by not getting too much in the shot and then just lighten with Afterlight (I use the brighten feature) sometimes it only needs a little, other times a lot since it starts getting dark so early here in the winter lol. You can do almost the same thing right on IG if you use their editing tool instead of the filters.
Random stuff - lots of food pictures, nature, mostly Moose. I follow friends and family as well as bloggers and boutiques and companies I like.
For awhile we were catching chipmunks and releasing them in a nearby park so I posted pictures of that. Which earned me more than a few chipmunk enthusiast followers, lol.
100% complete, shameless, AW. I rarely post selfies to FB because it feels like I am trying to hard TO ME, but for some reason, it seems fine on IG. I look at IG when I am having a low self-esteem day all, "Look at me all hot in those pics!"
I also use it to stalk attractive men because, why not?

I use it for a lot of reasons. I take personal photos of the kid, dog, etc. I also use it to follow quilters and show off my sewing/quilting projects. I also use it to follow photographers and show off some of my best pictures. Right now I'm using it to chronicle my kitchen cabinet repainting. It just depends on what I'm up to.
My personal account - just to post family pictures and follow friends that do the same. I also follow a few celebrities.
My bento account (@peytonslunchbox is to share my bentos. I also follow a bunch of other bento accounts for inspiration. DD loves that I post a picture of her lunch. It blows her mind that more then 1400 people want to see what she eats for lunch everyday!
I just post pictures I take of things I like. Pet/food pictures, crafts, an occasional selfie, quotes, etc. Now that I don't have fb I especially enjoy IG because it allows me to keep in touch and see everyone else's highlights. The time I would spend scrolling through my newsfeed I now spend scrolling through my friends' pictures, and I probably use it more for that than I use it to post my own pictures.
