I have never installed, and have no clue how to install, a car seat.
I hope this is the Scandalous revelation you were hoping for
I was never able to do it until we bought H's frontier 90 w/ the seatbelt easy click install thing. Now I can hulk her mammoth pavilion out and install it perfectly in 30 seconds. Anything else, no.
So the Frontier is easy to install? Like $100 more than the other seat I'm looking at easy?
I told Ada if she fell asleep during her nap today we would go swimming tonight. We were going swimming either way, but she's sound asleep in her bed. I need a bribe everyday to get her to sleep.

For me yes and I'm superstitiously attached to the seat because H was in it during our accident. Praise be to Britax and Maxi Cosi. Rationally I know our radian or graco would have saved their lives too but a rock solid install that I can get myself without cussing or sweating is worth it. She's 45 inches, 39lbs with a lot more room to go than her radian. She has one more notch on the radian. The frontier goes to like 125lbs.

@dahliaharper how wide is the frontier? Do you think it would fit 3 across? I'm in the market next year for 1-3 new seats
We have a radian and a brutal marathon
I'm thinking the radian might be the only one to fit 3 across but indont want them to outgrown them before 5
they won't outgrow the radian before age 5 for sure, and the frontier is FF only so you'll need a convertible option for rearfacing. We had 2 radians for J&A, I got a frontier for J recently and switched D to J's old radian. The radians have a 10 year expiration so I think our combo now will last until we need to do backless boosters for the younger 2. We have a minivan so I can't attest to 3 across with multiple frontiers, but I think 2 radians and a frontier would work for most cars

The headwings are larger. H is 6, she still fits in the radian and though she used to be tall she's about 50 percentile for height now that she's slowed down. 3 would fit perfect when you break down and get a minivan :-p
The annulment process makes me ragey. Back in the day my biological grandfather picked up and abandoned my grandma and mom when my mom was an infant. They didn't know where he went. Her particular church at the time wouldn't even let her be a member until she had an annulment which at the time was pretty hard when they couldn't find the man. She actually didn't attend anything religious for about 50 years because of the way she was treated.
Sometimes, I wish there was a "Dislike" button and this is one of those things (not you, but that this type of hurt goes on in the world, even 50+ years ago). I'm so sorry for your Grandmother and your mom,
Aw, I feel ya @chelsmonster. It's easier for me when my kids gravitate to "boy" things since they are girls. But on the flipside, I can see your hesitation. Maybe let him paint his toenails in sparkly Doc colors
@chelsmonster I feel like it is more hard for boys. I would have bought C the Jake flip flops easily (she already has a boy Jake shirt and boy Jake sweatshirt, boy and 2 boy Monsters Inc shirts) but I guess a girl wearing red and blue is easier than a boy wearing pink and purple.
I wish they made the character stuff more neutral.
C is also giving out Jake Valentines.
My 5year old DD is a huge tomboy (who also happens to be boy crazy for what it's worth) and girls in her class always ask me why she "loves boy stuff," which makes me ragey. Why does there have to be girl v boy stuff?!?!?
People with no elevator etiquette should be publicly shamed.
Escalators too. And if you stop a few steps before the end of the escalator, do not complain if you are plowed down by the people still walking. No stopping!
DH just taught me how to install the car seat....... It's actually quite easy.
It's a bitch to get most of them tight enough and at the right angle and shit. I get easily frustrated too so before the easy click install I'd be sweating and calling the thing a cocksucker a few minutes later.
Well I say it's easy, but I have had a few moments of screaming profanities. I suppose I mean easier than I thought. I still have DH do it though if he can, he is quicker and more confident with it.

haha, yeah I fucking hate doing it. My H can do it in no time, like in the morning in his business suit before work, with no swearing or sweating at all. I curse and sweat and need a change of clothes after.
I just installed a carseat today! I don't think it's a big deal, but that's probably because I've had to install one each time C has ever been in a carseat.
It was harder than usual because the car rental place only had a compact available (even though we'd reserved a full size sedan and they wouldn't refund the difference...), and I'm getting a bit too big to be wrestling seatbelts in the backseat. I'm sure I looked utterly ridiculous kneeling in the carseat.
The first time I installed a car seat was when H was definitely over 1. I was sweating buckets and had to sit in my car watching youtube videos on it a few times before I was able to do it. Once I did it was like "Oh, that's all this is???" Now it's no sweat.

Ha! No mini here yet
We have a medium large SUV (mdx) I think is wider than most cars and in 4 years we can use her hues row for a booster if we still have that car

Thanks! My two year old loves most of the boy themed stuff and I will continue to buy it for her if that's what she loves. My five year old will say the same thing to her though "that's s boy shirt". Whatevs.
