FastHands, I hate to suggest, but a mouse in the wall?
The thought has occurred. I'm LALALALAing it away for the time being. lol. It doesn't smell THAT bad (though I don't know how much walls dampen that particular smell..?), and I would think it would be a constant foulness in that case. Pleasegod.
I'm pretty sure there's a mouse in one of the walls at our cabin. But it doesn't start to smell until it's really warm in there and even then it is pretty fleeting.
No, this is definitely not a scent that any sane person would use to sell a product. lol. It's BAD. But it's so fleeting. Like you'll just get a huge whiff of it and you're like "OMG GROSS WTF?" and then it's gone. And it's usually in the area of the sink, which is why I'm thinking it's the pipes. We've already done that "plink" thing to freshen the disposal, but something is definitely still going on. Bleh.
A stray rotten potato?
I considered that, but I cleaned the crap out of the pantry and the fridge this week. And DH was just under the stove to dig out a treat for the dog, so it's not like something randomly rolled under there or something. I'm stumped.

The drain in my parent's bathroom stinks to high hell sometimes. Maybe just noxious gases seeping out?

I don't think I saw one, and this doesn't deserve it's own post, so RANDOMS TIME!
I haven't changed a poopy diaper in like... two weeks, maybe? lol. DS's poop schedule is less consistent these days, and he'll sometimes go a day without pooping and then just let 'er rip with a doozy of a twosey. And I have been spared every one of those massive poos without any trickery on my part. Just pure luck/timing. That's muh boy. LOL
Something smells in my kitchen and we can't figure out wtf it is. It comes and goes. I think it's the pipes? It's driving me freaking bonkers.
Sprinkle about 1/2 cup of borax down the drains and let it sit for about 1/2 hr then rinse with hot water. Our pipes get stinky every few months and borax works like a charm.
DH is out of town and won't return until Saturday.
I hate mornings.
Our puppy likes to get up at 4am for breakfast and a pee....and she won't go back to bed. I can't put her in her kennel because she barks. I can't set her loose around the house because she chews everything (her new target...our baseboards), I can give her a kong, but she gets the treats out in 5 mins. It was like a battle and my lack of sleep drove me up the wall. DH usually gets up with the puppy and lets me sleep. Yeah. He wasn't there. I don't know how long I will last today.
could be an allergy to the antibiotics. has she been vaccinated for measles?
She's had all of her vaccines, yes.
I thought allergic reaction this morning but she's on day 8. Seems like a long time before the reaction hit. My other daughter is allergic to penicillin and she broke out in hives within 24 hours of starting. Who knows?
She goes in at 10 so I'll know more soon.
An allergic reaction can show up at anytime. I found out I was allergic to Penicillin on my last dose.
I have the whole office to myself today. Dr. is in California and the receptionist took a vacation day. I don't see much actual work getting done.
I am so glad this week is almost over. I have a 3 day weekend.
Day 2 of trying to eat better. So far so good. Except I forgot to eat my breakfast this morning. I had to eat part of my lunch otherwise I would be starving.

How old is your puppy? Does she sleep in her kennel until she gets up at 4am? We used to just put Stella back in her crate until it was time to get up. She usually whined for awhile and it wasn't pleasant, but she needed to learn that she didn't control the schedule, we did. Are you in an apartment, can you just let her bark in her crate? I know it sucks for you, but if you'd have to be awake anyway. OR on the weekends sometimes we'd get up and then go back to sleep with her on the couch. Sorry, the puppy thing kind of sucks sometimes.
She is 8 months old. She sleeps with us at night..we gave in when she barked nonstop one random night so that was our first mistake. Her kennel is in our bedroom. Her bark is loud. We live in a house and she wakes me up when she barks in our kitchen which is on the opposite side of our bedroom. Usually DH will get up, feed everyone and then rest on the couch. I'll try to to let her bark it out. Thanks for the advice!

So if you get those small round treats and put it in the middle, put the goey treat on either side to hold them in and then freeze it, it will take much longer for her to get it out. It takes my adult dogs at least two hours.

I'm so glad it's friday. I go tomorrow to learn how to give myself injections for IF treatments, and then I plan on doing nothing the rest of the day, it will be glorious.

great idea! Thanks!
It gives them something to do during the day in their crates!
FastHands- when I went back to work I had the same exact thing happen to me. DS didn't poop when I was around for a MONTH! It was like... " lady I know you are stressed about being back to work so I am going to cut you some slack"

My son and DIL had this going on in their kitchen for months and finally figured out it was their hot water heater.
Back to the doctor this morning with M. She was diagnosed with strep and scarlet fever last Thursday and has been on an antibiotic since. Yesterday when I went to give her a bath, I noticed a small rash on her chest and back. This morning when she woke up, she was covered HEAD TO TOE. It almost looks like measles. I'm hoping that it is just related to the strep and scarlet fever and maybe she just needs a stronger antibiotic or something. I feel so bad for her.
I ate a bagel AND a donut for breakfast. I'm a stress eater.
I am taking the low stress, just have fun route for TTC (it has been great for our sex life, which was suffering for a good long time, due to BCP et al). However, my BFF who is also TTC is more anxious of the state of my uterus that I am. I know it is out of love and caring (since I wasn't sure if my H and I were ever going to try for kids) but it can be nerve racking.

hmm. Is their heater IN the kitchen, or do you mean that something funky grew in it, and so the funk came out the faucets when running the water?

Its in the laundry closet, attached to their kitchen. They didn't notice it all the time, it came and went - I don't know if it was in the water itself or just smelled it when they were using hot water (coming from the heater). I do know they didn't need a new heater, they had a plumber come and he flushed it, he told son if it happened again how to do it, I know it involved peroxide and flushing it out, try google because I don't know exactly how they did it.
