I fantasize sometimes about hiring a housecleaner, but I feel guilty pulling the trigger and I don't think DH will think it's necessary.
Do you outsource housecleaning at least once a month, and what is the makeup of your household? How often they come and what you pay in the comments if you feel like divulging.
For purposes of the poll, working full-time means a salary-earning job. I'm not at all implying that being a SAHP isn't full-time work.

Answering for myself to start it off - both DH and I work full-time jobs outside the home. We have one toddler. We don't outsource housecleaning right now.
No. I SAH so I just do the cleaning. And my kids help. But I will be going back to work when the youngest goes to kindergarten and the first thing I'm doing is hiring cleaners .
DH works full time, I work very, very part-time and am mostly a SAHM, and we have one toddler. The cleaning crew comes every other week, $92 for ~3500 sf or so.
We've had a housecleaner for years, including when we were both working full-time, no kids.
I would really like to do this, because I think that it would relieve some of the factors that cause us to argue. We both typically have to work at least some amount over 40 hours per week, so it would be nice to not worry about spending our home time cleaning. Unfortunately, it's not in the budget, and H thinks it's a stupid idea.
I voted SS: I'm single and all my kids are grown and out on their own. I travel a lot so when I'm home on the weekends, I want to be able to chill out. So I have a housecleaner come by every 3 to 4 weeks. So worth the expense.

Not yet because for the longest time we were trying to get settled in this house. It's almost 1300 square feet bigger than our previous one, so now that we're settled it's on our list of things to get set up. I think it'll help us not argue and keep us from spending every weekend cleaning. I'm hoping we'll be more inclined to not trash it during the week, too. Our issue isn't dirt but just clutter and crap everywhere.
When we looked at our budget we decided to buy a roomba and then use the money we saved by not having a housecleaner for date night babysitter on a regular basis. I need nights out much more for my sanity. LOL
No, we don't. We don't have kids or any reason to do this, unfortunately haha
"I dont like to clean" is a perfectly acceptable reason lol I mean, I can't afford it, but if I could, I'd have a cleaner even if I didnt have kids, didnt have pets, and never left the house!
Our housekeepers come ever two weeks and deep clean everything. We both work full time and have a 6 year old, 4 year old and soon to be 3 year old. I will never go back unless I am financially desperate.

I SAH, H works FT, 2 kids.
Yes, I have a cleaning lady come every 2 weeks. I still pick-up and clean in between visits, but she does a top to bottom clean every 2 weeks. It's my favorite 2 days of the month!
We have no kids and both work full time. While I dont "need" a housecleaner (who really does? Cleaning a toilet sucks but I'm pretty sure most people could do it) I'm buying back time. There are about a million other things I could do with that time.
We both work FT, no kids, and a biweekly house cleaner is the BEST thing we have ever done. No more fights about cleaning. The day she comes the house just looks and smells so good. I do keep up with stuff in between, but no need to do a full clean.
My boss and a coworker have also hired her. I pay $50 each visit, I think they pay more as their houses are bigger and they have kids/pets.
DH and I both work full time. We do not outsource. I do most of the cleaning. I WFH and when it's slow I'll vacuum or mop the floors really quick. I'm kind of a neat freak. DH will help if I say "I need you to do x" and he does the dishes and takes out the trash unprompted.
2 adults in the house + 2 kids + 1 dog. H works PT, and I work FT.
We hired one company, and they did a crappy job. We complained, and they sent out another team the same day. The second team did a better job, but I am unwilling to take the risk again. It was a PITA to deal with them. They were also fairly expensive.
I'd love to have someone do a deep clean 1x a month - focusing on the kitchen and bathrooms + non carpeted floors.
ETA: Just looked it up. The service that did a crappy job charged $200.
Yes, we have bi-weekly cleaners for our house. We both work full time and neither of us like to spend our weekends cleaning. Worth every penny.
This, except our cleaning person comes once a month. $80 for 2100 sq ft. We don't have kids but we both work full time and prefer to not have to make time for cleaning, especially on weekends
We both work FT (no kids) and don't want to spend the little time we have at home cleaning. So we have a house cleaner that comes every other week. She's amazing; does a far better job than I ever would.
