taste of texas for the experience (salad bar is intense, but this isn't really fine dining, cant make reservations so dont go on a holiday!) or trulucks. wouldn't u rather bbq? it is texas after all!

Do you have a good BBQ rec? I'm with my husband and BIL so I'm sure they'd love BBQ.
I'd like a nicer dinner experience and price is not too important. I don't mind a splurge.
for bbq, I've heard Gatlin's is pretty good but haven't tried it myself. I liked Goode Co well enough. Houston isn't really known for bbq--I'd rather send you to Austin area.
what about Mexican? El Tiempo is really good, as well as the original Ninfa's restaurant near the baseball stadium.

For bbq Goode Company, Rudy's, Luling City Market. For a nicer dining experience do Truluck's. Taste of Texas is more casual. Have fun!
Otherwise in non meat recs I'd say Thai Gourmet (good red curry) and for pho Pho Long.
Those I have never had. Are they bacon, sausage, etc or BBQ? We do have a Rudy's in Colorado Springs for no apparent reason, maybe I need to try them. lol

I go there for brisket, egg, potato, and cheese tacos. Not sure I've ever had the others. I think they have traditional and BBQ options.
