Snow day today! But I've been up since 5:30, so that I could take the pup out while H shoveled. I also helped him scrape off his car and started his breakfast.
Only thing that sucks right now is that I have no tv since satellite is out
I am baking cookies and cleaning today with my extra time off. And reading
We got about 18 inches. A very kind neighbor came and snowblowed half our driveway this morning (ours broke and H was out there shoveling the first half forever). Do you think cookies and a gas card to fill his snowblower would be okay as a thank-you? Or should we offer cash? We don't have any cash on us now.
I'm really not sure how much we got. The news said accumulations in the viewing area are between 7-20 inches, so somewhere in there. H shoveled the driveway once yesterday before lunch. Then in the afternoon a young man was going door to door offering to shovel for $20, so we paid him to shovel it again. It's covered again now, but we both have AWD vehicles so it's drivable.

They are saying we have about 17 in. I have not went out to check. There was a lot of blowing and drifting too. I tried to get a day off work, but my boss just texted to ask if he needed to come get me. Looks like I will be going into work after the man who rents the barn plows me out.
We got 16 inches. They predicted 8-12, so this was unexpected. There are giant drifts all around the yard 3-4 feet high, and although H shoveled yesterday, the wind blew all the snow back onto the sidewalks, so he'll have to do it again today.

I would just do cookies. And then once yours is fixed, do his driveway next time if you get outside before he does.
I think we ended up with about 6-7 inches. It's freezing cold, but the sun is out which is nice. Both work and school were on for us here! Oy vey, so much more winter to go...
We got around a foot of snow, and apparently there's more on the way tomorrow and Wednesday.
H's work was cancelled, but he ended up having to do some work from home. He's in communications, so he had to write media releases about the things that were closed today.
He does the shoveling, thank goodness. We have a snowblower, but it didn't work today!
