I know we've discussed this before, and I think the sentiment was to just buy for the kid your kid is friends with. DS is invited to a party for triplets this weekend. He is friends with both boys, but not the girl (who he claims he's "never met," lol). I feel weird not buying for the sister, though. WWYD?
One toy for all of them. I mean seriously, how many toys can one house hold??? The parents/family can buy individual gifts for the kids, so they each feel special, but could you imagine having 10 kids over and receiving 30 gifts??? Insanity.

Now I'm scared lol. We will make sure that each girl receives her own gifts and individualized celebration etc. But Oh God, please, I don't want 1000000 toys in my house!

We had two joint 1st/3rd birthday parties for my kids (one friends and one family). Almost everyone did separate presents. I totaled them up and it was over 100 gifts. It was CRAZY!
The girls don't have their own friends yet, but for birthday parties they typically each receive a gift. People love to buy them clothes, so they each got an outfit.
I am a big fan of things they can share, so books, duplos, puzzles/games are a big hit in my book.

See with two kids at two ages I sort of get it, separate presents I mean…that being said, 100 gifts is INSANE.
Hmmm...My trips are still too young to have really experienced this but I think it would be fine to just buy for the boys or do a group gift if you feel really bad but I doubt the sister will feel left out. We get group gifts usually at this age and I only buy one $30-40 gift from all three when we are invited to parties.
How about a gift card for a family outing? Like mini golf or local indoor play place or something.
I wouldn't feel badly about not buying the girl a gift since she will probably have her own friends at the party that won't necessarily be buying her brothers gifts, you know? I think they'll be enough presents none of them will notice or be keeping track.

I returned enough to buy them the Power Wheels Truck and then gave it to them for Christmas. And we had another $150 to Target plus I was set for gifts for the next 6 or so playgroup birthday parties (regifts!).
This is after I told people NOT to get them anything. That worked really well hahaha
Apparently I should re-think my stance on birthdays because I could score big time…we won't do one for DDs 1st but probably one when DD is 2 and #2 is 1.
Unfortunately, we really don't know that many people. Lol.
