Agreed, Ms. Bull. Yet, there is one problem. Free bleeding is not actually a huge trend. It’s a concept that has been around ‘online since the early 2000s’ and was first discussed then by a ‘women’s reproductive health blog. ‘In February 2014 [it was] promoted by members of 4chan as a prank to convince women that feminine hygiene products were a form of patriarchal oppression.’ What is 4chan, you ask? Well, they are home to what Foxnews calls ‘the most powerful people on the internet,’ all of whom ‘lack a social conscience’ and are the makers of such memes as LOLCATS and Hamster Dance. They are a group of guys who claim that their blog is ‘a place beyond sanity, wild and untamed.’ And they’ve launched ‘a couple silly hashtag trends’ in order to ‘manufacture enough fake social media outrage over the use of sanitary pads that news and organizations and feminists fall for it.’

obviously they're bored and need more to do with their pathetic lives.
I knew a woman in college who did this in the mid-1990s (and wrote about it in a feminist zine, making the same arguments about women's bodies not being dirty and hygiene products being a tool of the patriarchy). It was gross then, and it's gross now. But it's not new, nor is it exactly trendy.

Besides the fact that this isn't really a big trend, this paragraph really irritated me. No women aren't "unclean".
Secondly, it is a well known, documented, scientifically proven fact that women are naturally more unclean than men are. It’s stated in the Bible, as well there have been studies done on the female anatomy to further my case. The female reproductive system alone is host to over 7000 types of bacteria, some of which are helpful to the system, but many of which are not. These bacteria work together to create the odor and excretions that the female genitalia has been notoriously known for. As women, we need all the extra help we can get to remain clean “down there,” both for ourselves and for our partners. Without the help of the many feminine hygiene products that are now available to us, through prescription and over the counter purchase, our special place would be an intolerable wasteland, of unbearable odors, discharge, and build up. The fact that Feminists see no problem with adding blood and other types of monthly discharge to the mix is not only disgusting, but alarming and unhealthy.

What.the.FUCK?
I mean...is soap and some hot water some new and fancy item? Because I don't know about what kinds of discharge and buildup YOU are dealing with, but that's all it takes to make MY bits as squeaky clean as need be.
Wanna bet whoever wrote this is either a dude, or a woman who douches and uses those ridiculous wipes like 4 times a day?
This is so gross. Think of the practical implications. At some point, wouldn't every seating surface in the world be blood stained? And who wants to deal with that kind of laundry? And the argument that tampons "inadvertently rape" a woman sounds like something from the onion.
But the last paragraph made me think it really is satire: If you happen to come in contact with a Feminist who tries to push this disgusting idea on you, throw a tampon at them and run away as fast as you can. It’s a proven scientific fact, that if two women stand around each other for a long enough period of time, and one of them is menstruating, the other one will sync their cycles up and will begin bleeding to. It could become a very dangerous situation indeed, if you’re caught with a Free-Bleeding Feminist without your own personal hygiene products available. Play it safe, lest you become a statistic, and remember to always carry a feminine pad or tampon in your purse wherever you go.
Isn't the article satire? The authors bio doesn't sound legit. I imagine there are a few free bleeder in this world but I don't think it's an actual trend.

I think you should change the title to Go Home Fake Feminism... Oh and did someone let ML know that they are being punked and that no major theme for feminism relies on a woman just ruining clothes monthly?
I hate when feminism gets a viral setback like this.
