It's a pretty feminist show, starring Gillian Anderson (x-files) and Jamie Dornan (to be Christian Grey), about catching a serial killer. Season 2 just started.
Best quote in the episode I watched last night: "Female is the natural state of the human race. Males are a sort of birth defect."

This is one of the reasons I have been telling people to watch it for the last damn month!

That one and this one when she tells her male coworker to stop slut shaming her. "Man fucks woman. Man subject, woman object. Woman fucks man. Woman subject, man object. You seem to have a problem when the man is the object."
I'm adding this to my list since I just finished up the first season of Marco Polo. NitaX what are you thinking of that?
I'm really intrigued by Marco just being left to Khan and trying to figure out this world. so far, I'm enjoying the politics of it. Very fascinating. Did you like it overall?

I did. I also kinda love the assortment of badass women since Mongol women do things like ride and are just as good at archery as their men. Not sure how far into it you are, but there are a bunch of moments of "YEAH YOU DID!" with several of the female characters just taking care of shit on their own.
It's not like - gripping. And the Khan is...frustrating. (though the things about his character that I find annoying are actually historically accurate to the extent that I know anything about the history of that era) If another season never came out I wouldn't be heartbroken like with House of Cards, but I enjoyed watching it. I started out not really liking Marco very much, but he's grown on me considerably.
I feel that I have to point out that this is not really a Netflix original. It's made by the BBC but Netflix has distribution in the US.
I've noticed a trend where they brand shows as Netflix originals just because they pick them up. Looking at you Trailer Park Boys! It's a silly distinction that irrationally bothers me.
