I hate when I'm talking about my siblings and someone says to me "but they're only your half-brother and sister" as if that makes them less family or something.
Also I started rewatching Avatar and Korra and I'm almost done.
No. What? No. If somebody said that to me about my brother I'd hulk rage. Are they saying it like, "why do you care so much, they're only your half-sib?"
of course I actually say something along those lines all the time to my mom, JOKING, when we're talking about how different her three kids are in some ways. (well...you know, he is only my HALF brother.) But that's like how I'm allowed to give him shit but nobody else is. He's MINE, so I'm allowed to tease him. Nobody else is allowed to say that kind of shit.
Because yeah, he's my fucking brother regardless. I lurve him. I actually never even use his damn name, I just call him brother. Which only became awkward when I had shorti, "hey shorti, this is your uncle brother! No. No. Wait. that's not going to work. Uncle [actual name]! Jeez that feels weird."
Not in so many words, but yes! It was one time that the fact that they are half-siblings came up for the story so I had to clarify (because they had more Thanksgiving and Christmases to attend than I did). Otherwise they are just my brother and sister. But now every time I mention my siblings this one CW is like, but aren't they just your half-siblings? (head tilt)
Same CW does the same thing when I talk about niece and nephews (the older 2 are step-kids), and that also makes me ragey. I've known these kids since they were 2 and 4 respectively, they are not less important.

Every.single.fucking.day, some asshole parent who just dropped THEIR Preshus off at school fails to understand how a stop sign and a crosswalk work. Today it was two parents! I'm always such a bitch, too. "THAT'S A STOP SIGN AND WE ARE IN A CROSSWALK!!!!"
I always give major stink eye to anyone who tries to block or roll through the crosswalk. It's particularly bad on campus where there are a ton of pedestrians. Internally I'm screaming "crosswalk assholes!" but I know that if I ever lose my shit verbally on a car it will end up being a patient or something so I control myself.

This makes me RAGE! I have a brother who we sort of adopted (he lived with us, but my parents never formally adopted him) into our family. He's not biologically related to me, and he didn't start living with us till he was 12, but it doesn't matter. He's my brother. He is part of the fucking family, and I will go off on anyone who makes light of his connection to our family.

Wait, so are they half or step?
Not that it matter per your coworker.
Siblings are half. Two of my sister's kids are step-children (to her, so step-niece and step-nephew to me). My youngest nephew is my sister's only bio-kid.

My cold magically drained out of my sinuses yesterday afternoon and took up residence in my chest. I'm OK with this. My face no longer feels like it's going to explode. I just cough occasionally. Meh.
I really just can't handle sinus pressure. It makes me the crankiest person ever. I'll take coughing any day.

My sister says that when she's pissed at one of them.
My Avatar comics arrived yesterday. I'm so excited!!!

I'm so goddamned tired. I want to work from somewhere that an angel disguised as a waitress will continuously bring me coffee. Think Denny's has WiFi? I'm willing to tip 150% for the honor today.

People are treating me like a normal person after my meltdown yesterday! Yay!
I treated myself to a Panera Cinnamon Crunch bagel this morning just to get the day off of the right foot. They don't have cheesecake cream cheese on the menu anymore! I'm going to have to inquire next time.
The radio today was asking who would you rather have "Magic Mike" or "50 Shades of Grey". Most of the women said Magic Mike. LOL!
Me, I'd take Magic Mike all the way. Sure he's a male stripper, but he likes his women strong and not afraid to tell him gtfo. I have no time for the submissive nonsense in 50 shades.

I never get into FB arguments on my walls and certainly don't do it on my friend's walls, but I am highly annoyed at an anti-vaxxer or two on there stating that she doesn't do anaphylactic shock and other ingredients, and there's even a vaccine injury website, and that getting the virus is what heals you and boosts your immune system, etc.
I'm like, you do know you're posting this on the wall of someone who works in public health, right? There is nothing you can say that would convince her or me or any of the other people with similar backgrounds to agree with you.

I asked H about a themed vow renewal for our 10th anniversary. (I'm reasonably sure he knows I'm serious. I'm also reasonably sure he's humoring me. ) The theme he picked was Adventure Time. I could do that. Could wear something like this:

One of my anti -vaxxer friends finally piped up and posted a video that supposedly explains how vaccines damage the brain. She added the comment, "no rude comments please" which I'm sure means don't tell me why this is wrong.
There has been so much anti-anti-vaxxer stuff around the last couple weeks. I think they are feeling some heat and getting defensive.

But I think I'd rather Uhura still.
the plan is for H and I to elope and get married by Elvis in Vegas for our 10 year next March.

I forgot my coat this morning and it's 28 degrees according to the car. I'm sitting in the car outside Publix trying to decide whether I am too lazy to go home and get it and just brave the cold.
I know this was from 6hrs ago, but it's 15 degrees here, and feels about 1, 28 would seem nice right about now.

Awesome! I tried that for our original wedding. No dice.
