House: I went into labor the day after the garage sale, so we are just now getting to calling people back. We have done no advertising besides in the garage sale ad saying the house was for sale and have a sign in front. We have had over two dozen calls. DH called the guy with the cash offer last night and we are waiting on a call back, currently negotiating with him.
Baby: things are better. I had a few really rough days. G wasn't getting enough from me breastfeeding so she wasnt sleeping well. At our weight check we had to start her on supplements because she lost almost a full pound. She is doing better now. We went back for another weight check and now we are breastfeeding and supplementing with formula.
The formula has made her vomit like once a day. I have a call in to the doctor and waiting to hear back on if I should try a different kind. I am in completely new territory with the whole baby thing. Our first doctor appt isn't until the 18th and I didn't want to wait that long.
Motherhood is hard! But we are getting it slowly. DH has been amazing and taken to it all really well.
jjwritergirl I think it was me, not tacocat, on that one lol. After I pressured her intensely for a few days, my sister finally looked up his screen name and discovered he's a catfish who has been fooling women for years. So she dodged a bullet. I'm really glad that she's done with him.
bk1 Hang in there! I hope G starts eating more and keeping it down. You're doing great. FWIW, DS spits up a ton. Sometimes it's like a river and it pools in between him and my arms.
Life as a mom is good! It's a little exhausting right now because it is soooo repetitive. Breastfeed all.the.time, change a million diapers, soothe and then soothe some more and still end up with an angry, cranky baby Otherwise, I'm fully recovered from my C-section, back to working out, and looking forward to going back to work next month.
Baby M is basically a giant. He is six weeks old and probably up to 13 lbs now. He is in 3-6 month clothing. Sleeps great at night with only one MOTN wake up to feed. He's a serious baby, but gives us a few smiles and happy moments each day. His favorite things to do are look at his crib mirror and hang out on his changing pad. He has insanely loud farts which DH and I find amusing. If he could learn to keep the paci in without spitting it out, that would be a huge win.

ewall- C has the loudest farts too! We also find them very amusing! I'm very impressed with Your DS's MOTN sleep...I can only dream of those days right now:)
C is crying less, although it doesn't seem like it at times. He actually reminds me of M in that he hates the car (along with everything else!). The last few night have been rough with nearly hourly wakeups and still sleeping on me or next to me in the bed.
As for DH, it's been a rollercoaster. He's trying but there isn't much he can do (he's only home for 2 1/2 hrs before C goes to bed (used to be more but we moved his bedtime earlier because he's so cranky). Anyways, an hour max of help each day isn't enough with C being so demanding (he literally almost always naps in the baby carrier with me walking).
Good things are that he's gaining weight, has the most adorable smile that melts my heart, he's totally worth it although I'm exhausted and half heartedly joke about going back to work...I hear it gets better so I'm looking forward to that while enjoying the little blessings each day brings!
I over did it yesterday standing/walking at work. I only hit 4,500 steps, but woke up this morning with pain shooting up my shins. Took it easy at work (sat in my roll-y chair, and students pushed me from class to class) and only had 3,000 steps today and still feeling ok. True test will be tomorrow, when I have to go up and down stairs a total of 6 times after the work day officially starts (the very first trip when I get there and the last trip when I leave will be in the elevator)
