I did pretty well at the grocery store. For $36 I got:
package of Italian sausage 2 12-packs of string cheese 2 boxes of cereal 2 boxes of oatmeal 6 boxes of cereal bars 6 cans of tomatoes 3 cans of beans 4 4-packs of pudding 2 packages of Starbucks coffee
My store has pretty decent sales but the best part is they double coupons, woohoo! This is the first time in a long time I've lived near a store that does that.

I just found out Starbucks is going to carry coconut milk and I am so excited. I will finally be able to get coffee on the go without bringing my own creamer like a weirdo lol.

I used my fun money to buy some new workout stuff including new sneakers. I'm wearing them for the first time today and I'm not 100% sold. I hate that you can't really tell about shoes until you actually wear them for a while, walking around the house just doesn't do it. We'll see.
MrsMB My mom is all up in my business right now about TTC, telling me about various special teas I should drink etc. It's wearing on my patience.
There's a produce market near me that sells fruits and veg at about 2/3 the cost in the grocery store, so I try to go there to maximize my shopping trip. It feels really good to get a cart full of veggies for only $20.

That sounds awesome, I'm jealous. My store does not have good prices on produce (or at least it's a lot higher than I am used to, could just be a COL issue) and their selection isn't great. Like I can't buy one carrot, I have to buy a whole package and I never need a whole package. I also can't buy regular green onions, I have to buy the organic ones. It's weird.
HoneySpider That market is pretty cool but 20 minutes away, so sometimes I just bite the bullet and do all my shopping at the nearest grocery store, 5 mins away. It's strange, they only sell organic beets. Not that I buy beets all that often, but still. And carrots are only in huge bags also.

Just found this out too! DH and I were going to do a Starbucks date this weekend and decided to wait until after the 17th so I can get something I will actually enjoy.
DD still has not gained any weight in two weeks. I am beyond frustrated. We feed this her SO much and she still less than 10 pounds. We are getting more tests and hopefully we can figure out what is wrong.
I feel freaking robbed sometimes because I just want a happy normal baby experience. Once things start going well we get another set back. I want to enjoy my baby since this is the only time I will have another kid. No more babies for us. But after this experience I would not want to even try again.
I have a chair that needs reupholstering. there is basically one place in town that will reupholster furniture, and they're $$$$. we were going to have them do a chair a couple years ago, but that chair ended up not fitting in our house, so we gave it away.
so 2 years ago, I was allowed to bring their fabric samples home, to see what they looked like with other furniture, in my lighting, etc etc. nope, not allowed to do that anymore. okay, well I'll just write these down so I know which ones I picked when my mom comes up, and she can help me pick some. nope, not allowed to do that either. "it's proprietary information, and we don't want people to go somewhere else and get the fabric for cheaper. we can write them down for you." well why the hell not??? yall are already charging a fucking arm and a leg for the labor, why shouldn't I try to find the fabric for cheaper??? the cheapest I found today was $32/yd!!!
so whatever, I picked out like 10 different ones, and they start to write them down. "so, we'll just go ahead and order these samples for you and they'll be here in a week." um, no you won't. I'm not paying for 10 frickin samples. I'll be back tomorrow, mom in tow, and we'll narrow it down tomorrow tyvm. they just set it aside in a pile. I was able to take home ONE cutting. *rolling eyes*
I left feeling so frustrated. I hate the limited shopping in this town. my other options to shop for upholstery fabric are Hobby Lobby and Joann's.
When I got in the car after Costco I realized somehow my eye makeup was smeared ALL over my face. It was a disaster. So many people were oohing and awing over M and I thought it was unusually much. Well, now I know they were taking pity on the kid with the apparently basket case mom who was sobbing in the store and didn't clean her face (or however they thought the makeup got smeared) Lol. I can only laugh.
mrssandro *hugs* worrying about your child is so stressful and impossible to avoid. Is it okay for her not to gain weight as long as she isn't losing any? Maybe she is just tiny I hope all is well!
I think it's mainly bad because she is in the less than 2%. She is 23 inches long and so she isn't that small length wise.
She seems to be meeting milestones.
I just don't know what is wrong. She weighed normal when she was born. Lost 2 pounds being in the nicu. She has grown less than a pound a month. She is still less than 10 pounds currently. We are big people. I am praying she doesn't have some sort of genetic disorder causing this.
jjwritergirl - I have to limit fat and fiber, among other specific types of foods. I have my first appointment with the nutritionist in two weeks, but I ordered a book on amazon that has been incredibly informative so I'm using that information to make some changes now.

How are you feeling? Are there any positive changes yet?
I definitely feel better emotionally. Like, this huge weight has been lifted. Being able to understand why I feel the way that I do has made such a huge difference in how I feel about myself and my struggles.
Physically, it's going to take some more time as I learn what is safe and what isn't. I haven't noticed much of a change yet, but I also haven't been following the GP diet very well.

I love when you contact customer service and they respond and COMPLETELY IGNORE YOUR QUESTION/ISSUE. Don't provide me information I didn't ask for and then say "is there anything else I can help you with?" Yes, yes there is - you can address my actual issue.

That is frustrating!
This person has now responded to me twice and both times has not addressed my actual issue. I asked if someone else could assist me if he couldn't understand what I was asking about. I'm not asking anything difficult!
MrsMB oh boy... As if I didn't want you to get knocked up asap already, this confirms it. No one needs to deal with overly loving mil's!
ain't that the truth.
amen! MrsMB- ((hugs)). I have a MIL like that. You could use my approach...I had to tell her to call DH and not me. FWIW she only called me for updates and was always "worried", mainly because of my mom's health. I couldn't deal with it and she tends to make everything about her. I'm now not her favorite but whatever, it worked. Or, probably better, just have your DH tell her that you guys will keep her updated as you see fit and would appreciate her not bringing it up. And yes, even more reason why you need to be pregnant like yesterday!
