DH surprised me with a certificate for a hot stone acupressure session. Woohoo! I've never had that done before but the place has awesome reviews and I'm really excited. Also, he got a groupon so he got a good deal (way to go DH!)
He caught me off guard though because we don't usually get each other gifts, he normally gets me a plant or small bouquet of flowers so I assumed that's what he was getting me...so I got him a pair of underwear. Lol. At least it's nice underwear?
HoneySpider, that sounds like it would be so relaxing! My DH loves the expensive underwear so he'd be perfectly happy with a pair as a gift.
It was my turn to sleep in but I'm awake now and still have the headache I went to bed with, boo. Not sure what we're doing today since our plans to visit friends this weekend fell through due to sickness. I've requested starbucks at the minimum. We might go bowling this weekend, DH has Monday off too, yay!
DS and I made DH a card yesterday and already gave it to him since DS can't keep a surprise. I didn't even get him candy this year, poor guy, lol. We did get cupcakes from a local bakery yesterday and went out to dinner last night.
H planned something as a surprise, but I don't know what it is yet. I told him not to get me anything, I just want to do something together. I'm sort of regretting that, though, because I really want chocolate, haha.
Happy Valentine's Day!! I left out little treats for DH and DD. For DH I did a bag full of "hot stuff" (sriracha beef jerky, hot fries, wasabi peas, cinnamon candies/gum, hot sauces). For DD just some little candies, and a vday trail mix

Happy Valentine's Day everyone! We are in the midst of another day of lake effect snow hell. But on the upside, it means that H has to stay here with me. We plan on spending the day watching movies and doing nothing. Glorious!
DH stayed in the living room with G last night so I got a full nights sleep. Glorious! Now I'm pumping because I'm so engorged. Worth it.
Then DH made breakfast :-) he is going into town in a bit to drop off recycling, go to Lowe's, etc and I plan to ask him to pick up coffee on his way home. Mmm chai tea latte....
No plans for today. H is at work this morning, then he's going to the gym, and later he's going out with a friend. I will probably spend the day on the couch reading and bring lazy. Haha.
H got up early this morning and got me flowers and a card and muffins for breakfast . We are probably just going to hang out at home today and I am making one of his favorite dinners tonight.
I decided I'd rather stay in today, so we'll relax and watch movies. H has to shovel more snow at some point today. I have a giant bowl of oatmeal waiting for me .
H got me an orchid and some Timmy's, got Milo a stuffed rose (that Pippin likes more than him), and ingredients to make chocolates and chicken Parmesan. He made me chocolates for our first Valentine's day (and I made him pie). And he's cooking dinner! He hasn't made me dinner in 4 years!
H and I both work all day, but we rented 2 movies last night (for free at redblx) so we watched one last night and we will have a quiet night in with our 2nd movie! I'm also planning on relaxing when I get home at 3 until he arrives at 7:30!

Happy Valentine's Day ladies!
DH got me a nice card and lingerie! He was goingto get flowers at costco too but I demande he come straight home (I knew he was only going for flowers (and getting the rest of the stuff to jus surprise me)...between Friday traffic and costco on a holiday weekend it wasn't worth all the stress.
C got me a nice night of sleep (for him at least!)!! It's amazing what a few hrs of sleep (about 8-9 with 4 wakeups) does!
DH gave me some chocolates and a card. We are spending the day together. I made some sweet cream crepes for brunch. I am making some shrimp scampi for dinner and chocolate lava cakes for dessert. I cannot wait for dinner!
We ended up getting hair cuts, wandering around the mall, and getting Panda Express. Now we're watching Tabletop. We're so romantic!
Wil Wheaton's board game videos?! I thought my dad was the only dork who liked those! I say this lovingly, lol. It's good to meet another dork! Are you guys really into games? ETA: If this is not what you're talking about, I'm going to feel very silly.

Yes, that show! I was always into more party games, but we've been getting into the nerdier games over the last couple years thanks to some of our friends. I never thought I'd get into some of the games we've been playing but I love them!

That's so neat! My dad goes through hobby phases (we make fun of him for it, lol; they include growing hot peppers, playing squash, learning the harmonica, to name a few), and right now it's games. He has like 15 obscure games, and he sends us the Tabletop videos for each one. He also made a chart of the games including how many players, how long they would take, what kind of game they are, etc, so we can choose a game quickly. My family is nuts.
All that to say, I know a lot about games, I've also seen some Tabletop, and it's funny! What are your favourite games?

Haha, that's funny that he makes game charts like that! Our favorites are Bang and Avalon/Resistance (basically the same game). Recently we got Coup, which is related to the Resistance. We also play Ticket to Ride a lot (US and Europe versions), and we're always trying new games that our friends get. We also of course love the party games like Telestrations, Cards Against Humanity, etc. I played Taboo for the first time in years last weekend!

I've never heard of Bang or Avalon/Resistance! My dad has failed me, haha. Ticket to Ride is one of my favourites! I much prefer the US one, though. More people should play games; they're so much fun!

I agree! You should definitely try Resistance (the original game) and/or Avalon (same concept, just adds in some extra characters). I know that one is on Tabletop. It's so fun, except now we've played it so many times that no one ever trusts each other anymore, haha. Bang is really fun but it's a lot more complicated and takes a lot longer, so that one you have to save for a night you have time to play. For Ticket to Ride, I prefer the rules of the Europe version, but I like the US one because I at least generally know where the cities are, haha. Except I'm irrationally annoyed they put Duluth, MN in the Twin Cities area. Um, no, it's waaay north of that! At least it's in the right state I guess!
We have had an amazingly productive day. Packed up everything left from the garage sale, returned things to Lowe's/bought what we needed. Wal-Mart trip for dinner ingredients, DH has fixed three different plumbing problems and is now cooking. We are also going to rearrange and clean in the nursery. Loving today!

I'll have to look for it! I don't like the European rules as much, but maybe that's just because I'm more used to the US version. I never noticed that Duluth is in the wrong place! That's so funny, I wonder why they would do that.
