The guy being interviewed in this video had been with Page off and on for two years, talking to him about the movement and doing research for his book. Crazy.
I don't know what's so supreme about a bunch of silly crackers, except their false sense of entitlement resulting from their inability to open their eyes.
I'm so happy time is breeding out these pale ass peckerheads.
Not to reference that hot mess of a thread, but a Sikh man on the panel said it gives him hope when strangers express condolences. Just saying. I have no dog in that fight. Carry on.
Nitaw, let me know your thoughts if you have a chance to watch.
it's sad to me that Al Jazeera has better reporting on what's going on in the USA than any American news outlet.
American news outlets always seem like they are afraid of something or paid by someone in the lengths they go to to NOT say anything remotely conducive to the civil discourse even though they do nothing but talk about the same shit 24 fucking hours a day. It is most definitely a skill they've mastered.

Seriously.
I used to love CNN and think they were a great network. Then Fox News came along, blew CNN out of the water with ratings, and CNN then engaged in a race to the bottom, tossing out all last vestiges of journalism and quality news reporting. I worked there in the early 2000s, and it was all about trying to beat Fox in ratings. CNN International was different - they weren't in competition with Fox (plus their market was a much more specialized, educated audience) and thus their programming was far, far higher quality than the domestic crap.
As an aside, summer, have you seen the movie Control Room?
Ok, I have watched it. And I found myself nodding in agreement.
I find that the panelist echoed the commentary of the article/blog I posted about Hate Crime Having a Logic. And I agree wholeheartedly that terrorism is now synonymous with brown people. It's no different than crime being equated with black males. Since you are a FB friend, you know I love making status updates when I find out some white person in the burbs committed a crime vs. a black person from the "inner-city." One of my "friends" (let's use this term loosely because we don't talk like we once did) called our other friend's new Iranian fiance' a terrorist when she told us of the engagement. Trust, the engaged girl and myself ripped her a new one.
Let's look at how we label minorities in this country based on stereotypes:
Asian: You run a hair supply store, nail shop. Or you get to be the model minority in high school because you are the class Valedictorian. You're cool until after you graduate and go work in the nail shop.
Black: You are a welfare queen or a gang-banging thug who comes from the hood to rob folks in the suburbs. And yo' kids can't read worth shit and bring down the school system with test scores.
Latino: You are probably illegal and can't speak English. You do lawn care and construction. "Oooh look. The Mexicans threw that building up real quick."
Anyone of Middle Eastern Descent: Terrorist. Oh and you own a hotel or convenience store.
Africans: Bless their hearts. They are just trying to get away from famine. They are all refugees.
Now, how we view white people:
White people: We're all great until one person shoots up everyone and then they are just mentally unstable. And Bill Gates. Everyone is hoping to become the next Bill Gates.
But, when anyone points this out, we're quick to say - well I say this person in the store and they had an iPhone and EBT card so it must be true. Years, and years and YEARS minorities have complained about the media fostering these types of stereotypical images. And we don't hold the BSC people like Bachmann accountable when they start in on new McCarthy manifestos. I give the GOP some credit in trying to dial back Bachmann's idiocy, but seriously, it's not enough. We keep sweeping this mess under the rug ignoring the fact that the pile is higher than the piles in a hoarder's house.

I have Control Room on my list, but not yet.
The state of news is one of my greatest all-time grievances.
And I hate when people argue that it's because watered down news is "what Americans want" or "all we can handle" I like to give us way more credit then that.
And not for nothing my child would gladly tell you all she wants to eat all day is ice cream, but that doesn't make it a good effin idea. Someone at one of the major networks needs to grow a set. Or are they all owned by one person by now? Just call us Italy, I guess.
