Do you have any interesting nicknames? Do you like giving other people nicknames?
I have no nicknames, which is strange, because I give everyone a nickname. I gave my sister many over the years. These days I call her George, even though that has nothing to do with her actual name.
My dad and step family refer to me using a nickname that I hate, but they've all been doing it for so long that I don't feel like I can tell them to stop at this point.
No one else uses a nickname for me. I'm just not a nickname kind of person. I had one when I was a baby, but when I was three I found out it wasn't my real name and demanded that I be called by my real name. My mom still loves telling that story to people. Lol.
Pooh Bear, or [my first name] the Pooh, or just Pooh. hence my username. my parents say I resembled the bear as a baby--all belly with skinny arms and legs. my parents, grandparents, and aunt on my mother's side all use it.
Appalonia, from my aunt and uncle (dad's sister and brother). no clue why. I'm snorting/laughing right now just thinking of it.
My nickname is Katie, which is not exciting. My mom called me Katie Boo and/or Katie Roo when I was little. That's it.
Although, my aunt is 11 months older than me, and my sister and brother are four and seven years younger. My mom used to babysit my aunt, so the four of us were always together. My aunt and I were called "the girls" and my brother and sister were "the kids." I still call them "the kids" sometimes and it drives my sister NUTS (she's 19). "The girls" eventually got changed to "the squirrels" by my dad. He also called all four of us turkeys.
Summary of boring story: I was called a squirrel and a turkey by my dad a lot.

Pretty much just the name I go by (shortened version of my full name, some people shorten it more). I spell it with an I though, so a few people tack on "with an I" or pronounce it with an "aye" sound instead of an "ee" sound of that makes sense. I also used to get called by my maiden name by a few friends, plus a few other random nicknames (Freckles being one of them, hence my actual user name), but nothing terribly exciting or anything that really stuck!
My nickname is the latter half of my screen name - SAS. Sometimes Sassafras or Sassy pants... all given to me by my best friends.
Back story: They are my initials. Where I used to work, I had the exact name (first and last) as a colleague after I got married. She was married first and had the name first. My friend started calling me my nickname to differentiate between the two of us. It spread like wild fire Even though I don't work there anymore, everyone calls me it still.
My nicknames were an astonishing amount of plays on my maiden name. I played sports and teammates usually called me by my last name so that's where the different versions came from. My HS BFF still calls me by my maiden name sometimes.
