I was under the impression that most plans had a deductible of some amount but a conversation the other day made we wonder if that was a wrong assumption.
We have a high deductible plan with a health reimbursement account. We've had it for the past 3 or 4 years. I'm still not entirely clear on how it works, but I think the HRA funds deposited by my company count toward our deductible. We have not paid OOP for anything in recent memory other than non-covered stuff (RE/infertility). I checked our recent EOBs yesterday and we apparently owe zero OOP for the $25k or so in medical bills from my C-section.
I don't think mine has a deductible but I'm not exactly sure how it would work. I've only ever paid a copay for anything, procedures, exams, meds, whatever.
We have a low individual deductible--$500. It'll cost me that much total to have this kid. And a $1500 family deductible. DH's employer has a pretty good plan and we participate in their wellness program to drop our premiums.
We have individual and family deductible. We have met them for both DH and I the past couple years :-( thankfully they are as low as they are. They were $750 each until this last year when it switched to $1000 each. Could be worse.

We both do. We have separate plans because we both work for the same company and if we were on the same plan the family deductible was a lot higher. H has a high deductible plan (like $6k high), but pays basically nothing for it. We pay more for mine because the deductible is lower ($1200) and my neuro visits hit that pretty quickly each year.
I have a high deductible plan with an HSA. I have to pay 100% OOP until I hit the deductible amount, and then the insurance kicks in and starts paying 80%.
