Walgreens is about to get a nastygram from me regarding some rule their pharmacy has.
I'm desperate. I have the worst sinus pressure and pain I have ever experienced. My doctor can't see me until tomorrow. I went to Walgreens to get something with the highest phenylephrine (nasal decongestant) I could get. I ended up with the card that you take to the counter to exchange for Aleve D or something like that because it had the highest dose (100-something mg) and like I said, I'm desperate. I've never had to take the card to the counter before for any of that regulated stuff.
I go up to the counter and the girls says that I have to have had a prescription filled with them in the last month. Any prescription, doesn't matter what it was for. I got off my ADs months ago; I don't have a recent prescription with them. So no, I can't have the nasal decongestant.
You guys. I almost started bawling. I am so miserable. I had to settle for an Advil decongestant (10 mg) because that's pretty much all that was left on their bare shelves. I'm so pissed. I should have sent my husband to get it, he has a current allergy prescription with them and they would have let him have it.

Whaaaat? I've only ever had to show my ID to get Sudafed/other nasal decongestant crap. That doesn't even make a little bit of sense. What on God's green earth does having a recent prescription for say, acne, have to do with you being able to have decongestant?

I just saw that "Any products containing ephedrine or pseudoephedrine require a prescription in Mississippi, Missouri and Oregon". That's some serious BS ... and WTF Oregon? Pot is legal but Sudafed isn't?
