What type of paint sheen would you choose for your house? We have used eggshell before in our old house and I didn't like it. We have flat now and nothing cleans off of it but it is builders paint so maybe that is a reason also. I have 2 boys who touch the walls constantly. Any brand you like more than others? Thanks!
I really like "matte" in Sherwin Williams paints. It's got the flat look but is still scrubbable when you need to clean it. I use it in every room, including bathrooms.
I have Satin on 3/4s of my walls. I don't want super shiny but I don't want so flat it looks dull either. I have a lot of white intentionally and I like the bit of shimmer it gives off. I also needs something that washes.
My mudroom/laundryroom/bathroom for farm stuff is semi-gloss mostly by mistake but I love it in there. I can practically hose it down...lol. I wouldn't suggest it for 99% of the rest of the house though.
Two little boys and I have been happy with Sherwin Williams satin sheen. The previous owners had matte and the walls took a big hit when we moved in. Matte is not child friendly in the least.
