So I get paid by my neighbor every Friday for walking his dog, and this week he owes me $125. He just came by to pay me and when I counted it after he had left, it was only $105. I re-counted it 3 times and checked the floor in case I had dropped it. Boo. Would you just suck it up, or casually mention it to him? Most me is is hoping he notices on his own, lol.
So this is dumb and I should speak up, but what say you probies?

The bank once shorted me $20 and I never spoke up! I realized after i left. I regret it. It was only $20 but I worked hard for it! (I was a poor college student at the time)
I doubt he'd notice it on his own. I'd shoot him a text or email saying "Hey, just noticed that you gave me $105 today. Did our schedules get confused or perhaps some money came out in your wallet?"

Do you ever text him? I would say something, while $20 won't make or break you, you earned it, and it is around 20% of what you earned.
I would either text or say...
I am so embarrased to say this, because I hate talking about money, but I found the money you left me on the counter, it was $105, and I thought we had agreed it was $125 for the dog walking? Thank you.
I'd say something. 20 dollars is 20 dollars. Plus, knowing me, it'd effect me over time. I'd feel slighted, even if he didn't mean it. Dumb? Yes, but that's how I'd feel over time.

We do, I text and email him. He's a really nice guy so I'm not worried, but it is just sooooo awkward talking to your "boss" about being stiffed. Ugh.... I need to do it, I just keep putting it off. This sucks.

Do it now. Get it over with, its not like you are going to feel more comfortable asking about it in a few hours. Rip that bandaid. I like to get awkward stuff over with!

Okay so I did it. eek. I felt soooo awkward doing it, but I figured id want to know. Guys, he literally rang my door bell 1 minute later and was like, "so sorry, totally counted wrong". And that was that. Woo hoo. Thanks for the encouragement.
I had a similar thing happen when I nannied I felt weird counting it in front of them so I always did it in my car or at home and I just texted them. Glad it worked out
I alllmost did, I was so close to saying forget it, but I even did a little extra for him (that sounds dirty) this week so I really expected my full pay if not hopefully more.
