My daughter is eight months old and weighs 15 pounds (10th percentile). She's gained a half pound since her last doctor appointment which was ten weeks ago, but hasn't gained any weight in the last month. She was in the 25th percentile at her last appointment. She isn't due back to the doctor for another month. Should I be worried or is this normal? Should I email her pediatrician? Or am I being a crazy FTM?
I don't think it hurts to send the pediatrician an email. Is she eating/drinking well? Being more active - if that's they case- as she gets older might slow the gain but if you feel concerned contact the pedi.

She eats well and never seems hungry. She hasn't been sick. She did start crawling, so maybe she's just burning it off?
I just sit her on my bathroom scale each month. I know it's not totally accurate, but I would at least expect some increase over that much time. My weight has gone up!
I wasn't worried until I read that she was supposed to be gaining two pounds a month. Plus everyone keeps telling me how small she is. It's making me wonder if I'm doing something wrong when it comes to feeding her.
I'd completely disregard a home scale for an adult. Nowhere near accurate enough.
If she's happy, diapers are good & she's meeting milestones, if wait for her 9 month check up.
2lbs a month is only normal the first 4 months or so. Even then, 1 pound is still normal for some. After 6 it can really slow down, especially when they start moving.
