I went to the bathroom twenty minutes ago and heard B playing a maraca but I can't hear him anymore. He had a late night with the babysitter so I guess we are all sleeping in.
Dh took both girls to dance class yesterda. He came home and said that one if her soft book toys needed washed. I ddnt think anything of it and figured it dropped in a puddle or got vomited on it or something else nastY. I was cleaning up and didn't see any obvious stains and I asked him why it needed washed. He said it dropped on the floor during dance class. Hahahahah the floor. I laughed and gave it back to the baby.
DD loves climbing into the dishwasher and playing in the refrigerator whenever we open it.
Also she's worked up to 3 bottles of whole milk and 4 bottles of formula thus far. We're going to try 4 bottles of milk, 3 formula today. The old pedi who said we had to switch to Lactaid can suck it.
But how to get her to stop drinking 28 oz milk/formula and eat more solids is going to be our 2015 battle.
I'm laying in bed with a snoring toddler who also leaked through his diaper. Poor kid would not settle last night and now I just don't want to move him.
My mouth is watering thinking about the French toast I'm making for breakfast
Oh and another one. Piper is a talented baby, she always knows the second we take her diaper off to change it and she pees/poops immediately! I swear we should just potty train her now. Baby prodigy.
DS is teething, which means we've both gotten crappy sleep the past few days. I have plans to hang out with some other women tonight. I'm leaving the baby with DH because I need a break. I really hope my plans don't end up being cancelled because of the weather; forecast says we're getting freezing rain all day.
My kids are happily running around chasing a balloon, no parent involvement needed. Hooray! I am really glad that they like each other and get along nicely most of the time.
Here's another good one. I call this "child walking on a BBQ" I can't get over our snowfall this year. We got 160cm in February alone.
What happens when all that melts. Is flooding a concern?
Not for us thankfully because we live on the top of a gradual slope. But I imagine there are some people next to rivers and in low lying areas that are very concerned. There's one home in a nearby town that the owners usually have to take a canoe across their driveway to their cars in the spring after a normal thaw. They're going to need an action plan of some sort :s
My best friend got engaged this weekend and her FI pulled out all the stops to make the weekend amazing. I know I said earlier that I'm not his biggest fan but he went up several points because of his efforts. He included not only our entire family but his parents flew in for it too. Last nights engagement party was just so fun and full of love. I'm so happy for them.
Although now they are talking about a fall 2015 wedding and this chick needs to go on a SERIOUS diet and start working out in order to look good in a BM dress. Damn.
DS is happily playing with his MOUND of new toys from his birthday party last night, and half-watching Curious George. I am about to fall asleep on the couch next to him, I can barely keep my eyes open. The party ended around 8, but by the time we gave DS all his meds and got him to stop running around like a crazy person (he was hopped up on cake and ice cream), he didn't go to bed until 9:30! Then DH and I had to clean up from the party, we didn't get to bed until 12. And of course DS woke up early at 6:15. That is nooooot enough sleep for a pregnant person!
We have a gender reveal to go to this afternoon, it's from 12-5. I'm totally annoyed by this party (for a multitude of reasons), so we'll be leaving early.
DH hasn't been home at all lately, we need some time together. Sorry, I'm not hanging around 5 hours for someone to cut a pink or blue cake. Sunday afternoon will be family fun time, I'll just find out the sex of the kiddo on FB, thanks,
My mom called and left a message to call her back at 6:30 this morning. I told my H that the only reason for a call like that is cause someone died. It was my aunt. Hit and run. I am in shock.
I am sick again and H has been a saint. Got up with DD, took her to swim lessons, and is taking her to the mall so I can rest. I hate missing my workouts but this thing is kicking my ass.
Knock on wood, fingers crossed, I think DD and I are both done being sick. I just hope H doesn't get it, because that's worse than a sick toddler! Our house feels like it smells so stale and yucky now, I am going to be spending a lot of today doing laundry and disinfecting.
Also FoxInFiji your photos of your daughter's room inspired me to switch out the kids' light fixtures. Thanks for the heads up about Shades of Light! Love that store
Those look great! I love the stripes. They are both versatile and will work in their rooms when they are older.
Lost all track of time and I'm supposed to drop DD off at my mom's house in 20 minutes. OOPS! We've been watching Bubble Guppies because weekends are for lazy tv watching in the mornings
My parents came over last night and planned to stay most of the day so DS and I could get some things done. We got to sleep in, which was awesome. But came downstairs and found out that DS threw up all over his crib this morning. Shortly after we got up, he threw up in the foyer (luckily all on hardwood). I'm guessing it's a stomach bug. So DH is upstairs letting DS nap on him in the chair in his nursery. And my parents just left because it is snowing and will turn to sleet soon. They have a 2+ hour drive in normal weather so they want to leave before it gets worse. this day is not going per our great plan. And I'm worried DS won't be able to go to school tomorrow. Please don't puke anymore! Poor kiddo. Hate seeing him sick.
Elijah carried around a bagel all day yesterday and I left it on the counter last night by mistake. He saw it this morning and screamed for it. I tried to switch it for a fresh one and he threw a fit and bit me! Toddlers are ao bizarre.

I poured water over my cereal this morning instead of milk. It was the last of the box so I dumped out the water, poured milk, and ate it. Then made coffee. No decaf today.
