I stopped drinking diet coke when I was pregnant with dd1 and could never really stand the taste since. But it definitely helped at times with this pregnancy. I'm only now, in the past week or so, able to drink coffee again.

I drank a cup of coffee everyday. Even when I was on hospital bedrest, they still brought me a cup of coffee everyday. I figure if they let me have a cup every day in the high-risk pregnancy ward, it was okay.

Mountain Dew got me through the caffeine withdrawal symptoms. I normally don't drink pop, but since pregnant it's the only caffeine I can keep down. Now that I'm in the 2nd trimester, Cold coffee is agreeing better but I'm keeping it small!
That is why the advertising campaign was "Barq's has bite". Apparently Diet barq's and Barq's from the Coke Freestyle machines do not (I had to look up the wording of the add and found this out ).
I didn't know about the caffeine for a very long time.
DH just brought me one and it says 22mg/12 oz. I never knew that it had caffeine either, but compared to coffee, that's pretty small right?
