DD has started manipulating us (or at least we started noticing). She is completely capable of climbing up on my lap when I'm in one of our recliners. However, lately I'd been picking her up putting her on my lap. This has backfired, as now she will pretend to try to climb up, then get frustrated. She will climb up on DH's lap no problem, she just wants to be lazy and get lifted up. So now I can't ever give in and have to make her climb up, but this has resulted in her simply not climbing up, so we miss out on story time

Glad to see my kid isn't the only one who flips his shit when we try to change him into new clothes.
Every morning when he wakes up, we have to take his pillow, every single stuffed animal and his sleep sack with us to the table for breakfast. He then lines them up so they can watch him eat.
B is in the middle of a language explosion right now. On the plus side, he can adorably count to five (uhn, dooo, heeee, fo, hive!). Genius!
On the other end of the spectrum, his new favorite words are burp (bupp bupp bupp! Hee heeee!), poop (poop! *raspberry fart noises* Hee heeeee!) and pee (peee peeeeee! Hee heeeee!). His favorite book is "Toot", and he runs around holding his little butt, yelling "toot toot toot!" in a high pitched voice.
DD trys to make us nap. She will physically grab DH and I, and drag us to wherever…loudly telling us "papa couch" or "mama bed". Then she demands that we "cuddle ba (blankie)" and "NAP, MAMA, NAP!!!" She's like a very tiny tyrant. Girl likes her naps. I don't mind the cuddles even if it means I get yelled at lol
Today, DD and I were laying down looking at the clouds and she climbs on top of me and sticks her finger up my nose and says "mama booger". I was like "DD who taught you that word??" and she cracks up and goes "papa!!!"
Last night at Trader Joe's DS was compelled to offer all shoppers a demonstration in interpretive dance. He had a very involved routine of large stomps, hops, wiggles, hand clasps and hooting sounds going. He was very intense/concentrated while performing. It was very clear he was marching to the beat of his own drummer.
