I am miserable. It is taking everything in my power to drag myself out of bed these days. I am just so over winter and it's awfulness. What gets you motivated to stay focused during the long winters? I need tips!!!
Yesterday I painted my toes a bright cheerful color and put a tropical scented wax melt to make the house smell like summer and the beach! It helped for a few moments...
I am going to up my dose of vitamin D to see if that will make a difference as well!
I think exercise always helps with improving mood. Also, try to make plans to go out and do things, even if that's just going to the mall to walk around. I find that planning cute outfits also cheers me up a bit. It will start to get warmer in a few weeks. Tomorrow it will be 39 here, which is downright balmy!

I agree! Bring on the sunshine! I agree on trying to get out, even if to a coffee shop or to walk the mall. If I'm not around other people, I start to get that winter-hating cabin-fever depressed feeling. Exercise helps me too.
I got a super dose of Vit D from my doctor. I have one more pill next weekend, then I'm getting my blood tested again to see if it's leveled off or if I still need the bigger dosage.
Daily walks with pup really helps. Even if it's cold or snowy or kinda icy or even drizzly, we try to go out even for a super short walk. Nicer days we go up to 2.5 or 3 miles. It's nice dose of fresh air plus a little exercise.
Blah it is tough. I am trying to find an indoor activity to look forward to. I have gift cards from Christmas so I am thinking of doing a mall trip...now I need to find my motivation.
I highly dislike Winter...and get really bummed right at the this stage about it. I've been de-cluttering space, ordering clothes, and lots of exercising. That helps!

Oh yes, buying summer clothes usually picks me right up! This year I'm not buying clothes, but travelbug, maybe you are?
I've been buying lots of summer clothes lately (all maternity) because of good deals. But it's just depressing me because I can't wear them yet.

Is it cold where you live? I assumed Texas stayed hot all year, but now I'm getting the impression you have cold weather too. Do you get snow?
It's a big ass state. The panhandle routinely gets snow. Dallas-Ft Worth is covered right now. Several inches of snow and ice. I'm south of there, so we've been getting freezing rain/sleet instead. Its been in the 30s lately, with a few 60 degree days sprinkled in here and there to tease us. Today is in the 40s.
