I picked 9-12 times per year but it's probably more like 15 now that I think about it. I travel for work and pleasure about evenly. DH used to split his time between a TX and NM office, so he flew every week for about 2 years. We still have a ton of Marriott and Southwest points that we haven't used.
@shoegal- I was wondering how the prospective job had turned out. It's a bummer it required relocation. I'm sure that would be hard not only BC of your H's job, but especially considering all your hard work on your basement!
Aw, thanks WinterW.
SERIOUSLY - it would have been to a lovely city (but not Seattle or Boulder or any of my dream cities), but I looked at my H and was like "HELL TO THE NO" are we leaving before this G-D basement is done
Up until last month, probably once every 3-4 weeks. Mostly for work, sometimes pleasure. Rarely did H and I ever get to go anywhere together because of the dogs. If not for the dogs, we probably would have gone somewhere every other weekend.
In the past month and probably for the next few months, we've been flying back to NC every weekend. I miss my puppies so much. It helps that H now works for an airline. I don't know that free rent was worth it but at least it gives us time to find a place in the right area.
I'm not sure how often I'll be traveling for work yet but I hear I'll be going overseas 2-3x a year.
I fly about once a month, usually for business. It's usually to places like KC or Atlanta. And now with my new job I will be going to Paris a few times a year. Maybe 1-2 flights per year are for vacation.
Not a lot and it's all personal/leisure. Work travel is strictly local. Last year, there were 5 rt flights, which was on the high side. It's usually 1-3.
I fly at least 4x per year usually one or two more trips added in there. It is all for personal - visiting family - as I am a SAHM. We go to visit with the kids as our extended family lives in the west coast, southeast, and New England. We always go visit once a year and usually there is a wedding or funeral or something thrown in there too.
Before I had kids and was working I used to travel much more often, probably 6-8x a year but with the two little ones it's just too expensive and kind of a hassle to take short cross-country trips. Even when my oldest was under 2 I used to take her more places but man those tickets can add up!
We flew regularly until H was diagnosed with cancer. We haven't had extra money to do anything or he's feeling too crummy from treatments to go anywhere. People fly to visit us when it's not flu season, though.
Most of my travel is work related and differs from year to year (approx 15 trips per year, all domestic). I get to keep all of my points so my work travel then pays for my personal travel which is either a trip to Hawaii or Mexico each year and a flight to visit the IL's or my parents (we visit every other year since they are both far). We always use up my Marriott points each year with a visit to the snow, mothers day in Palm Springs and any other trip that interests us.

Back when my husband and I were DINKS and living overseas, we flew multiple times every year. At least 8-10 times. Now that we're living in the States again and we have kids, I'd rather walk barefoot over hot coals than bring my children on a plane. By the time we park the car in long-term parking, wrestle the children, car seats, luggage, IDs out, take the bus to the terminal, check in, go through security, try to keep the kids from running off in separate directions, I want to gulp down a giant margarita. And this is before we've even boarded the plane. It's expensive, exhausting, and simply not worth the the unbelievable stress and planning it takes. Don't get me wrong, road trips with small children aren't fun, but at least we can pull over and take a break if someone is having a meltdown.
