i am not fancy. i hardly ever cut my hair...i cut once every few years once it's long enough to donate. i've made three 10+ inch donations in the last 8 years (one was 16")
right now, i hate my hair. hate hate hate. it's long, stringy, and continues to fall out due to no longer being pregnant. if i were to cut the minimum donation amount, my hair will be slighter shorter than i like. in the past, when i cut my hair shorter than i like, i get uber emo and cry whenever i'm getting ready (to go out..regular days i'm okay) because i miss my hair and wish it were long again.
i'm debating if i should cut my hair now, because it really is super annoying, and deal with short hair for two months or so.....or deal with the stringy, hair for two more months before i cut it....or just cut it, don't donate it, to a length i like.
I'd just cut it now. My hair was driving me crazy with the length and it falling out not to mention E getting his fingers wrapped in it. I went just above shoulder level and while I didn't like it for the first couple days I started to love it. It's just hair and it will grow back.
I feel the same way. My long hair is driving my crazy and I want to cut it, but I know that everytime I cut it short I say I will never cut it short again!
Cut it now, but just a trim or layers or whatever so that it will be pretty, then you can keep growing it out and donate healthier hair in a few months.
I should have read this before I voted! (although I think this sort of still counts as the first option) trimming will make you feel better and you'll still be able to donate soon. win-win-win!

Jenn, you know I love you, but you're being cheap. I'm sorry, but I'm calling it like I see it. I'm not saying you need to go to a fancy salon and pay $100+ for a haircut, but you can fork out the $25 or whatever and go to a place like Rudys. You can afford it. Go get it trimmed.
i'm not cutting my hair until i'm 200lbs or less. hopefully i won't look totallyfuckingridiculous when i'm done. i agree, you have the money, go get it trimmed!

and yes.
also..see this post (http://pandce.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=seattle&action=display&thread=41499) about me not being cheap. i swear.
h always tells me that i'm "worth it" and should spend some money on a haircut when in my in-between stages (the almost-long-enough-to-donate length). but i'd rather save that haircut money and buy something else frivolous that i don't need...
is 25 really going to kill you? just get a hair cut and feel pretty. also, there is a pic of you online and you looking effing incredible. that haircut would be cute. do you know which one i'm talking about? i bet you're looking like that, just need to chop that hair!

yes, i know which one you're talking about! you commented on that archaic fbook picture the other day (and so did kst!). that is about 2 months away, if i wait to cut it like that again (and donate). that is pretty much my ideal length.....although i really don't like that picture much
and that $25 could go to lobster. i'd rather eat good food than be pretty.
