I love NOLA. So, so, so much. Both me and my H did and we're dying to go back (we are in May). We do like Vegas and we don't gamble but after a day or two, it was really boring for us. NOLA allll the way. The food alone is worth the trip.

NEw Orleans usually but never in the summer. I'm used to humidity since I live in FL but nope. Not for vacation. Id take dry heat. I do not gamble but Vegas is still fun.
Ohhhh, I never considered the heat but Vegas will be equally horrible. It's just a dry heat there. Both humid and dry heats are equally horrible IMO.
No no no. Dry heat is so much better as long as you remember to stay hydrated.
Choking on the air is terrible. I try to get out of here as much as I can in the summer.
Well, I disagree. Both are horrible but I lived in Vegas for three years and FUCK those summers. I admit that the humid southern summers aren't better. They both suck, honestly.
We thought NOLA was great. We were within walking distance of anywhere we wanted to go, which was really nice.
Where did yall stay?
We were at the Marriott right on the coast. It was a great location, but we were put in the yet-to-be-renovated part, and our room was humid and sticky most of the time, even though the weather outside was fine.

I haven't lived in Vegas but I've lived in another desert area. God I miss the dry heat. My hair was awesome at least and I didn't have to change shirts every time I walked outside.

Yes!!! My hair and skin did look great in Vegas. Touche to that.
I think I'm just beaten down by the humid, Texas summers, lol. Going back to Vegas in the summer was like hell. By noon I was like "air conditiong. Now!" I can somehow hang in the humidity. Again, I think maybe I'm just conditioned to it after all of these years in Texas.
I just really loved the food in NOLA. And just the whole feel of the city. It's unlike anywhere I've ever been. So if I'm going to be hot as hell, I'd do it there.
We did Vegas a few years ago and were planning to go to NOLA in June for our anniversary as well. I'd vote NOLA all the way if you want to eat, drink, and chill. We liked Vegas but realized we are not Vegas weekend people so will only go back if we can go during the week.
