This is my giant star quilt top. I need to pick up some more fabric for the four corners. When it's finished, it should be about 74" square. The picture is HORRIBLE. The colors pop so much more than it looks like here. Sorry about that. It's not assembled yet, but I did sew and square up the blocks tonight. I'll probably have the top finished tomorrow and then start quilting it this weekend. I haven't quilted in about a year.
@ajl I'm going to steal that idea for a friend's wedding quilt this summer! I totally forgot about that pattern and I need something quick, easy, and with minimal fabric and effort required.
I only have 1/4 left of the binding to do on an 88" quilt that it feels like I have been handsewing and quilting all week. I am planning on finishing it by Thursday night as I have a massage appointment on Friday afternoon and I want to stop working on the damn heavy thing. It's mostly linen and quite heavy. I'll PIP when it comes out of the wash. I used a lot of blue water soluble marker on it to keep my quilting even. I'll be praying it all comes out and that the red doesn't run into the white!
I am so ready to move on to other things, but, glazing is chewing up my time. I might get the last load finished today, we'll see- but, it's mostly buttons and little things that take a remarkably long time to apply glaze to. I really can't wait to fire them- until this point I've stuck with low fire clay and glazes, and these guys are high fire- so it will be exciting!
My dog, Willow, hurt her leg so going up and down the stairs is a big no no and my craft room is in the basement. She always feels like she has to be with me while I work so I am stuck upstairs for the near future since she sits and whines at the top of the stairs. I could carry her up and down but at 60 lbs and really wiggly when carried, that isn't happening.

Still plugging slowly away at the Frost Upon Avon shawl - man, that thing requires a lot of concentration! For a "break" from that, I also cast on the Beanpole socks, but I think I misunderstood the instructions and need to start over
Also good and bad news. Good: I'm this close to publishing a new cowl pattern. That could happen within the next couple of days! I'm really proud of this one Bad: My Knitty sweater has been postponed until the First Fall issue. They promised it would be in that issue, but it means I have to wait another 4 months

I hope she feels better soon!
She is on the mend but she is pretty high energy so keeping her calm so she can heal is a process/problem.

Liking that you are making progress on the shawl and on the new cowl pattern.

I'm 16 rows into the eternal blanket from hell. Mucked up a cable on the last row, so I need to remember to correct it when I get there.
Also, about 2 inches from being done with my 2nd sock. I'm TOTALLY doing TAAT next time. 2nd sock syndrome is no joke. It's a drag to pick up and work on it right now. Blech.
Annnnnd I still haven't re-cast-on for my flax sweater (frogged because I was less than an inch in when I realized at some point accidentally turned it around and didn't want to tink back 3 rows. Frogging seemed easier), even though my next class starts today. Ooops.
Still seaming hexagons, but I managed to sew two oliver and s bucket hats for baby shower on saturday. Also just picked up a test knit for a laceweight cardigan, so will be working on that most of this month I think.
I think I've knitted maybe 10 rows of my baby blanket in the last couple of weeks. I'm bored with it and should try something else for a while, but then I think I should just plow through and finish it.

I've done about 3 rows of my scarf since last week. I'm about 3/4 of the way through it though, so I'm getting close - and I really want to wear it this winter, so that's my motivation to finish before it's get warm
I'm close to finishing my first sock for the play-in round of Sock Madness. I'm worried it will be too big for me, but in that case it will make an instant birthday gift for my BFF
I love seeing everyone's projects! I just finished a sock monkey hat and a matching sweater/hat set (boston red sox themed). Now I'm moving on to a blanket (crochet). wowhead where did you find that pattern? My mom would LOVE that owl blanket.

I'm turning the heels on my Sock Madness pair. Once I finish these I have one sleeve cap on my Nevelson Lace Pullover to finish knitting but once I seam on the sleeves I will officially be down to zero WIPs until the start of the next round of Sock Madness.

I made a bunch of stuff with my Cameo and wove one square of a blanket. It didn't seem like it liking right after the second square, so I'm going to start anew.
The just born photo, I made a bow tie in a different design for each month.

The photo is awful, but I finished a car seat canopy for a baby shower today and was late to the shower. I love the ruffle effect, but it took forever. I shouldn't procrastinate. Also, I need a car seat to take these photos on. This dude woke up at 3:45 ready to "hep mommy downstairs."
I started crocheting my new nephew's baby blanket. I wasn't sure about the pattern, but I love it. It's like an overlapping arch so it's thick and has a ton of texture.

I learned to crochet this week, to take a break from the knitted afghan that I'm working on. This is the first "real" think I made. I like it! Definitely faster than knitting!
Working on a swap. I sound like a broken record. This is a rainbow swap. I have four other swaps to do by May/June. I got the fabric cut and plan to fuse them on light interfacing to make it easier to piece since there are 120 2.5" squares. I may put them on point though which might mean less.
We have our quilting retreat next weekend and I am bringing these projects:
4 Noodlehead divided baskets - cut them in October, lol 1 Noodlehead Poolside Tote - half done Aneela Hooey's Hold It All Bag - need to cut Rainbow min swap Wall quilt from quiltcon class to finish piecing Maybe one more quilt that is in the same uncut state as when I took it to retreat last year, so basically yardage state
