Yea... I'm mildly annoyed about the snow storm coming tonight. The only reason I'm semi-ok with it is because DH is very likely going to get a snow day too so he'll be home and we can split kid duty. Otherwise, if he goes into the office and I'm stuck home all day with them I will be so fucking annoyed. Thank god today was relatively warm and we got out of the house.

I don't even care about the stupid f*ing snow anymore. It's time for the bitter, freezing cold to leave. It hasn't been warm enough to play outside in weeks. I am talking well below 20 degrees, mostly below 0. It sucks. The kids are maniacs and I'm like a lobotomized bitch with a temper issue. I hate this time of year. HATE!

It's the first day of 40 degrees in months. I'm stuck inside trying to get ds2 to take a nap and ds1 screamed at me that he wouldn't put socks on to go outside so we probably won't get out until later. And of course it's supposed to be frigid again tomorrow. This winter needs to be over.
We had major a snowfall followed by freezing rain last night so now everything is covered with more snow AND a thick layer of ice. Forget about trying to scrape it off the car to go anywhere!
And the plow also went by earlier and plowed us in - AGAIN! DH is OOT for work and emailed that he probably needs to stay another day. I'm considering bundling DS up and going out to try to shovel us out. Not sure how far I'll get, though, because I'm pretty sure he'll just try to run away rather than keeping me company while I shovel.
It's supposed to snow and ice again tonight. This is unacceptable. I put up with miserable summers so I don't have to suffer through crappy winters.
This.
I've been so good and patient with this winter. I still take the kids to all their activities, even get in the pool for Andrew's swim lessons and freeze my ass off getting him dressed after. I am tired of trudging around in the wet cold. I think we're skipping karate tonight. I just don't wanna.
So, I guess this isn't where I post that it's 75 and gorgeous here today?
Of course, tomorrow's high is 40 and we're supposed to get freezing rain.
I have enough hate in my soul to conjure up voodoo without even trying. Don't taunt the shut ins.
If it makes you feel any better, I'm stuck at home with a puking kid. Also, this up and down weather screws with my sinuses in a major way and makes me miserable.
Also it's 50 out now...and we have a winter storm warning in effect for 7pm.
::sets snow on fire::
This exactly. Â I fucking can not.
Also, nowhere are rock salt or snow melt. Â None. Â
True story-last week I was doing shopping at the discount grocery store chain and they had 25lb bags of rock salt for like $4. I call dh and ask him if he wants me to pick up some as I knew he laid out the last of ours the day prior. He said no, we're not going to get anymore snow.

Seriously, at the risk of driving up our housing prices even more, you all should move to the PNW. We seem to have skipped winter. It is kind of unbelievable. I'm really glad I held off on buying most of the kids' winter gear.
***ducks to avoid the ice covered garbage that is sure to be thrown my way***
The weather is giving me whiplash. No snow, but it changes every day. Right now it's 77. Naturally it will be 30 tomorrow with rain,
For real.
I should probably tell you guys that I'm huddled by the fireplace drinking hot cocoa, but really it's 76, sunny, & I'm on the deck having a beer. However, it was 42 & rainy yesterday, & Friday will be 35. Welcome to coastal NC!
It is 70 degrees here today but we have a winter storm warning that goes into effect at midnight. Wtf? Our schools were closed for 2 weeks because if winter weather. They have been back to school for 3 days. We will probably be out the rest of the week. Ugh. My kids need to go to school!! Next week is a 4 day week and then we have spring break.

Today I especially hate the snow.
I woke up at 530 and rush to check out the window. Only a dusting last night. Yay school isn't cancelled!!! Then around six we started getting heavy snow. The bus pulls up at eight and tells me the roads are a mess don't drive. I pull dd of the bus (which much to my surprise she didn't flip out over thank you universe) and keep the kids home. Now I cry.

Oh, that's the worst. A snow day where you had to get everyone up and ready for school, only to not have school.
