I just noticed that my company put $5000.04 into my dependent care fsa for 2014. The legal max is $5000, so that four cents is just lost, right?
Whereas for my health care fsa, I have them take out well less than the $5k max, so I can claim the extra two cents that they took out, correct? $120.02 instead of $120.

You can spend the 4 cents you will just pay taxes on it later. I put 5K into my dependent care FSA when I really should have put $2500 (we file separate). I did not lose the money, I just paid taxes on it at tax time.
