Let's talk about spring/summer

What are some "bucket list" things you want to do with your kids in the nicer weather this year?

I'm trying to block out my snow depression.

fly a kite
take full advantage of our zoo/aquarium and botanical gardens memberships
eat hotdogs on the coney island boardwalk
get ice cream from the ice cream man
go out to eat and sit outside
take lots of family walks with the dogs
explore queens a lot more

Everything. I feel like it's my last summer to live for like 3 years lol. M

Weekend trip to the mountains.
Go to denver zoo
Go to Denver natural history museum
Hike a lake in the mountains nearby, really just go in the mountains a ton of possible now that Ada can do short hikes
Have Friday picnic nights at the park

Well first, tea collection needs to put their shorts on the Website. Im obsessed with checking.

I want to spend a lot more time at the lagoon. We pay so much in fees to live here, we need to use the facilities more. I'm looking forward to concerts on our lake. I want to go on a date to the Hollywood Bowl twice this summer. We will probably camp again for a weekend. I'd like to negotiate no work at all for 10 Tuesdays, the day I will keep H home from summer camp.

Work on getting our backyard nice.

Go to the Oakland Zoo again.

Go to the lake.

Go to Monterey Aquarium and Big Sur.

More dinners on the beach. There's no point in living walking distance from the shore when you rarely go.

Other than that, I want to take the kids to the beach when we go up to New England this summer. I also want to get Abby fully off the training wheels and get her swimming independently.

For the most part, I want to have a summer where the kids aren't attached to screens.

Oooh, I like this! I've already started my list!

- Drive in movie
- Go pick every single fruit as soon as it's in season
- First baseball game
- Weekly pool parties with my girlfriends and their kids
- NH family reunion in August

My brother is a teacher and as soon as his oldest kid was about this age, they'd sit down and make a to-do list for the summer. It'd go up on the fridge and they had to knock everything off the list before school started again. (Now he has a 13yo, an 11yo, and an 8yo.) I plan on doing the same thing.

Take the kids to my parents beach house in OC more than we did last year.
Spend lots of time on the deck we put in last fall.
Start running with them in the double jogger.
Go strawberry picking again.

Make and eat lots of popsicles

Teach C1 to ride a bike w/o training wheels
