I'm so excited. This is the only thing I've bought other than a set of sleepers. I got the Graco Modes Click Connect system. I love it so far. I can snap the seat off and on the frame and the seat sits either facing me or facing out and the car seat will also sit on the frame too without the seat so it makes the stroller very light and easy to maneuver. I also love that the seat reclines almost all the flat and it can be used like a bassinet. I can't wait until babe gets here so I can take it out. I recommend this stroller system if you are looking for an alternative to a traditional travel system but don't want to spend a fortune. I got it for $450 reg $599 CAD at baby's r us.
Eta it also came with the Graco Snugride 35 car seat.
That's really exciting! The stroller/travel system is probably the piece of gear that I am most excited to buy! I like researching those types of items.
Yayyy! It is so much fun to start seeing all the baby stuff! My mom bought our carseat off our registry. We're going with the Chicco Keyfit 30 (I think?). I'm debating between just getting the Keyfit Caddy (snap and go frame) or the Liteway PLus which gets pretty good reviews. I don't think I want both, but I'm worried the Liteway will be really heavy in the beginning. But the Caddy is $99 on its own and I'm not sure how long we'll use it. Decisions, decisions! Any advice appreciated!
We have the same car seat. I'm not sure if it's the same stroller or not--ours was actually used from my BIL. We like it so far. Haven't used the stroller yet.
I'm going for the chicco keyfit 30 with the liteway plus stroller. Super excited about it! I considered the caddy stroller frame, but then I would need to buy two strollers, rather than just one with the liteway plus.
I've installed a bunch of chiccos and they're my favorite.
I am excited about the stroller. I started to make my registry to keep track of what I need to get and stroller was top of my list!
And it's so hard to choose from the zillion options out there. I'm glad I made a decision and now I have to stop looking because I don't want to change my mind haha. My cousin is also giving me her jogging stroller and I'm excited for that too.
The next thing that is causing me stress is breast pumps. So confusing!

I am trying to research a few things at a time then put it on the registry and move on to the next. My plan is to read reviews of the items I am looking at and make the whole thing at home, then go to the store to confirm our choices. We went to a store to fold strollers the other day as the last test for that but we will prob test everything else in one day. Pumps I have not started thinking about, I have to see what my insurance covers:)
I really wanted the Modes stroller, but then SIL gave us a different Graco stroller that was hardly used. I can't justify spending the money on it now :-(

Don't stress about pumps. Find out whether your insurance will cover it (they should.) you'll then be given some limited options. Most everyone I talked to said the Medela PISA is good to great. It's free with my insurance, so that's what I got. Also, you likely can't get it till a month prior to your due date.

I'm in Canada so I'm not sure if all the benefits plans cover them. I'm going to check with my insurance company though.
