I had to pee, so I checked on DS. He had diarrhea at some point so I had to wake him up and change him. He had some loose poops at daycare today too, so his butt is red, poor guy. As I was changing him, I realized he had a fever. Dosed him up with meds.
Now we're rocking because he's wide awake and I'm trying to plan my work day if I have to call in tomorrow. I didn't bring my laptop because I left in a rush, so at best, I would have to drag sick DS in with me to get it. DH should be off tomorrow but has training, so he can't help.
Wake up number two. It's official, he's reverse cycling. Sigh. Pedi recommended CIO as he's big enough. He still seems so little to me, but he doesn't eat all morning,m. Argh
Wake up 1. I'm pumping and have E in the swing. He just pulled his pacifier out and I'm hoping he'll just be content because I can't really reach him right now..
My son is probably going to have his first two teeth erupt tonight/tomorrow. He hardly ever wakes up at night and he's already been up three times. I wanted to be in bed an hour ago. Grrr!

Did you give meds? I always give meds before bed and as needed over night for teething! I hope they come through soon so you can get more sleep!
90 minutes is my limit apparently. I fed him then held him until he fell asleep.
I'm so bummed. He did good last night and great the beginning of tonight. Maybe he was just actually hungry and will do okay the rest of the night? Ugh, no I need to decide how to proceed...
whiskeyandwine - you could try a husband pillow www.amazon.com/b?node=3732021 and then maybe one under your knees to keep you upright and in bed. It also works well for post baby while nursing/feeding.
I had surgery 6 years ago for severe reflux so I have a few tips and tricks like that. Also, tums didn't work for me ever, but rolaids did. I'm sorry you are so uncomfortable.

Wake-up 2. DS2 has been waking up and screaming right away if I don't get my boob in his mouth in like 10 seconds. If I let him scream he wakes up DS1 so I have been jumping out of bed and racing to the couch to get him latched asap. This is ridiculous.

Seriously considering this! Lol.
I will also try Rolaids. Tums were working for a while, but not so much anymore. Even ICE WATWR gives me issues these days.
None of this stopped me from downing three GS Cookies just a minute ago...
The bottle warmer is bi polar. Sometimes it comes out super warm. While other times it freezing cold. So of course again tonight it did the same bs where it was so hot. So I have to cool it in the freezer. All while the baby is screaming. The dog is also freaking for some reason and keeps wanting in my husband room. I am raging by this point.
Finally the bottle cools down and dd enjoyed it without spitting up and appears to be settling down finally.
Today was rough with all that teething and having to work from home. DH is still crabby because his tooth hurts and refuses to set up an appointment. So he was very impatient with baby. He did not have to work because his office was closed but I had to work because I have WFH vpn.

It's still pretty reasonable for a 6 month old to want to eat once or twice motn. Sleep training doesn't necessarily equate to sttn, as I've read here. Give it a couple more nights and you'll figure out if it's going to work for you or not. You might be unlucky enough to have his 6 month growth spurt tonight too Don't feel like a failure, all babies are different and a lot of them aren't textbook.
First MOTN for me with DD2. We got home from the hospital today - she was born on Weds.
She had a nice dirty diaper and my milk is coming in, so I was ready for her to wake up from her long newborn stretch!
...and as I was typing, she fell asleep at the breast and is out cold. I'm loving these sleepy couple of days. If my DD1 is any indication of what is to come for me, I'd guess I will be here in the MOTN a lot very soon!
Wake up 2 or something. More like 4. He fussed for like 2 hours when I went to put him back in his crib. Then H was whining about needing sleep because he has to work. I get that I have no where to be, but I'm exhausted!
Now pumping with E laying on my lap propped up by the Boppy because he won't sleep in the swing now. If daddy would have stayed up to help I bet I'd be back in bed by now... bitter, party of 1!

((hugs)) I so remember those days and feeling so resentful of DH (hey, I still have them when C is super difficult to get to sleep, which thankfully hasn't been often the past couple weeks). Hang in there...hopefully your DH can help you a little more this weekend since he doesn't have to work (presumably). And, he could have helped more last night since he only has to get through today...but I get his side of it too, it just sucks when you're the one doing all the hard parts of parenting on no sleep. It does get better, I promise.

How was the rest of the night? You don't have to night wean to do CIO. You can decide how often you think your baby is actually hungry vs comfort nursing (which is hard to tell sometimes) and decide to feed after X hours at at X time(s) in the night. And then do CIO for the in between wake ups. I'm not explaining it very well, but that's the recommendation at troublesome tots ( slightly different than Ferber maybe).

Drugs? I bet that hurts a lot.
Yeah, I ended up giving him some Tylenol at midnight and he passed out until 7:45. Poor thing! I'm glad we both got some sleep though.

Well I really failed because I ended up bring him in bed with me for the next stretch! But I did put him in his bed for the rest of the night/all morning and he did okay.
He's FF but sometimes he only drinks 1-2 oz (normal is 4) so I still think it's comfort. I was planning on keeping 1 feeding but this horrible wake up started at 1050 so that's pretty early still maybe tonight I will try a dream feed at 10 and see if that helps.
After I finally fed him at 1230 he slept until 430 (although with me) then I fed again and he stayed in his bed until 810 with one little wake up at 6 that I kind of helped him back to sleep.
I'm sorry I am rambling!!!!
I think my plan for now is: still do CIO for going to bed (he's handling that okay), dream feed at 10, then try to work on slowly pushing the next bottle to like 4 or something. Also not responding until he is actually crying to give him a chance to work it out.
