I need to start buying a few back to work items and I don't want to overpay so I'm trying to figure out when I should pull the trigger on some stores. So lay out the common discounts for me for these stores, ie, when do you go ahead and buy and when do you wait for a better discount?
Gap/BR frequently have 40% and ON up to 30-35% so I know to wait for those
Loft: I know I've seen 50% but how often do they do that? Should I pull the trigger at less of a discount cuz it will be a long time before 50% comes up?
The Limited:?
Express:?
J Crew: I feel like they've had a lot of 25% lately.
Madewell-sign up for emails. Their discounts tend to run as % off certain categories (ie: 25% off dresses, 20% off denim, etc.) rather than whole site discounts/
I agree that I always have at least 20% off at Macy's with my card. Also, sign up for their text alerts, they send discount codes constantly.
Express currently has $25 off of every $75 (promo code: 1583)

I get most of my work clothes from the Loft. I don't pull the trigger without a sale because every time I have in the past the item goes on sale shortly after.
New York and Company has deals/coupons all the time. Not good quality stuff but good for work clothes and sweats/yoga pants.
