I am going to make one of these to hang on DD's chair at our dining table:
(this is where she does her homework and uses the laptop). I figured it'd be an awesome way to store school papers and things and clear a spot off of the table.)
So, I need to choose a fabric. Just for reference, our house is very neutral. The paint in our dining room is
with this on an accent wall:
Trim is white. The curtains are plain and match the first color (sort of a soft burlap type material) with white sheers. Other fabrics are red or reddish-rust. Furniture in this room is a mix of black and wood toned.
So, I thought, I definitely want to do a pattern, something fun but not something too kiddish. So, go wild, what sorts of fun fabrics can you find?
(I do have access to Hobby Lobby and Joanne's Fabrics, btw)
What a fun project! I also agree with @merida that you should let your daughter help pick the pattern. But I really like the third one over on the bottom row, and the first bird pattern munkii posted.
