@idaholakelady - do you think that will be her main coat next year?
Yes. Dd wears this coat daily. She's never mentioned being cold. She wears it with a hat and mittens (no hood needed). The ability to use it I a car seat is fab. She's 36" talk and 30lbs, but really long waisted (currently in 4t shirts and 2t bottoms), so I went with a 4t for next year.
Okay so DD is 24 pounds, 31 inches at 26 months. She currently wears 24 months with some 2T that is just a little big on her. Do I get her the 2T or 3T for next winter? Anyone help with this?
DD is a little taller and maybe a pound or two heavier at 30 months, and I'm going for the 3T.

I instituted a (stupid, idiotic) new rule this morning where I will "check in" with DH before I buy anything. The idea is to curb all of my impulse spending.
So of course I sent him this link and he goes "Why the hell does DD need a sweater? It's almost spring"
I already regret this new rule and it's been like 2 hours.
These look great, but I just wish they had a hood. DD wore a Snozu down jacket from Costco this winter and the hood was so convenient for the times when I didn't want to put a hat on her. I think I'm going to wait get another Snozu in the fall (they were only $30, IIRC).
@roseyposey - Clif bars are $0.99 in the sale section!
i need to add something cheap for free shipping - any ideas?!
You can ship to the store for free and pick up there if you have one nearby.
My question -- is there a cheaper alternative? I don't need a crazy warm coat for our winters, but I do want one that is carseat safe. This year, I just used cardigan sweater and a blanket and I don't want to do that next year. But $50 for a coat for a two year old seems crazy to me for where I live.

Spork! Go to the "deals" section and sort by price, low to high. You probably don't actually need a spork, but I added one to bump me over $50 because I truly love those things. I use them daily at work.

I'm the opposite! I wished the snozus didn't have a hood because it always got in the way and I hated putting her in a hoodie and a hooded jacket.

Damn! I wish I saw this before I purchased! I ended up buying a hat that matched.
So do you think this is going on in store as well? I may head up there tomorrow to try some sizes. If I can skip the whole puffy coat on and off song and dance in the van x3, I will pay almost anything. This winter sucked!

I know this is not your point, but it could be helpful to point out to him that it's not a "sweater" in the usual sense, but a down coat. I would not be buying $50 sweaters for my kid, LOL.
