ETA: Great deal at REI - toddler sizing up to 5T in both girls and boys for $48.83.
I'm looking to buy ahead for next winter. J is currently 20 months and in a size 2T in shirts/24 months in pants. He is in the 80th percentile for both height and weight. @brie - I think C has this coat. What size did you get him this year?
Anyone else have this that can weigh in on size? I'm trying to decide between a 3T and 4T. I think 3T since he will be 2.5, but wanted to verify the fit first.
Definitely 3T. They run big and are forgiving in fit. E wore his 18m one last year at 14-18ish months, then again this year from 26-28 months. It started to be a bit small at the end.

Such a good deal and safe in the car seat!
I made the FTM mistake of buying the 3-in-1 coat from Children's Place. Good in theory because it has the shell plus fleece but it's too bulky as one coat for the car seat. So I would put him in the fleece, then have to get the shell on too when we got somewhere when it was really cold. Not doing that again.
DS is 21 lbs (I think?), in 18-24 month clothing (some pants/sleeves are too long), and will be 2 next week. I'm expecting him to wear the 2T next year, as he's in the 12M right now and it still fits.

I bought 2T in blue, 3T in green, and 4T in blue.
No more jacket shopping for a few years!
I just edited the title. I should definitely share this deal!
So are these warm enough for really cold days? Similar to the Snozu jackets from Costco? We have the columbia 3 in 1 jackets but i hate that they are so bulky. I mainly bought them for ski lessons that we will do next year.

It says they have 600-fill-power down, which is what my North Face jacket is. I wear that in Chicago winter and am perfectly warm, so I think the kiddos would be too.

DS has worn his all winter long and it's been warm enough even on the coldest days.
Okay so DD is 24 pounds, 31 inches at 26 months. She currently wears 24 months with some 2T that is just a little big on her. Do I get her the 2T or 3T for next winter? Anyone help with this?
Whoop! Dd has had a coat like this every year and it's perfect for our climate. (@roseyposey) I ordered a 4T because her current 2t is almost too short. Long waisted kidlet! I also bought her a boys tumble green because I liked the green.
