Old navy. Their knit shorts go on sale for $4, and then sometimes there's a coupon as well. We bought a million pairs last summer, and a bunch of the coordinating t-shirts. It was awesome bc she was potty training, so I didn't feel bad when I threw away a couple of pairs from disasters. This was basically her summer daycare wardrobe for like $30. I love rompers, but not for PT.

She won't be 2 until September so I think there's a negative chance she'll be PTing this summer, lolol.
Oh ok, I have seen rompers bigger than 24mo though!
All of DD's cotton shorts, skorts, bike shorts, and Tshirts for summer are from Old Navy and Walmart. We will be attempting to PT in the next coming months, so I wanted stuff for daycare that I wouldn't care if she ruined. I don't think I paid more than $3-$5 for any one piece.
I love rompers so much. I'm sad I have to let them go in order to PT. I don't think I've ever seen them in anything larger than 24 months.
ETA: Upon further thought, I haven't seen rompers with snaps larger than 24 months. These are the only ones I considered buying for DD due to diaper changes. However, rompers in which you have to pull the whole thing down, those are sold in larger kid sizes.

we've got stuff from all over - Target, Walmart, Carters, Old Navy, Kohls, etc. We have also had decent luck at places like Burlington Coat Factory, Marshall's, and Sam's. Of course we also hit up the one week/one weekend consignment sales.
I'm getting DD a lot of her basics from old navy. I bought a lot of stuff on sale last year from lilly pulitzer, Jcrew, and boden but I've not been really impressed this year with any of their stuff. She has a lot of lilly dresses from last year that will be shirts this year, they're so cute!
Gap (and the Gap Outlet) always have a couple rompers up to 5t. I buy DD1 one every year.
I stock up on shorts from Osh Kosh and Old Navy. And every July I stock up on tank tops for the following year from Gap (I pay less than $3 a tank top) so I've actually never bought those in the spring for the upcoming summer.
Oh and I do get the Jumping Bean brand bike shorts from Kohls because they are the only bike shorts that actually fit my string bean kid!
ETA: I do playdresses and regular dresses from HA.

Target, Carters, and Old Navy. And whatever HA dresses my mom buys on sale.
My girls wear a lot of dresses and skirts with bike shorts or Capri leggings underneath. I also like knit shorts, but DD1 usually insists on dresses or skirts, and I think it's fun when they match :-)
I was in Carters on Thursday and they told me I needed to buy any sandals and shorts I wanted now because they sell out quickly and don't restock those seasonal type items. She said they bring fall stuff in during the summer so once these are gone, they're gone.
Carters usually has a bunch of cute bike shorts and top sets. I think I bought 4-5 sets last year for my daughter. She climbs a lot at daycare when they are outside and prefers bike shorts to regular shorts. They also sell 2 packs and then I get the cotton dresses to put over them.
They have some CUTE stuff for spring/summer. My store just expanded their kid section and I spent way too much money last week there! Adorable dresses and tunics! $4.95!
Do people buy the pull down rompers for kids still in diapers or newly potty trained? When I initially answered the OP's question, I answered for rompers with snaps at the crotch since her DD is still in diapers. I have never seen the snap rompers in larger than 24 months. I have never considered non-snap rompers for DD, even now that she's about to PT. That kind has always seemed like a hassle for those in diapers, or a disaster waiting to happen for new PTers.

Be careful with Kohl's Jumping Beans line, they tend to fall apart, fade and shrink. Just sort of cheaply made garments....Not that Old Navy is a whole lot better though, but you get my point. I did Jumping Beans items for clothes to send to daycare, it didn't matter if they rolled around in the dirt or got paint on them.

Yes, this is what I worry about! Especially with a longer summer season for us this year.
haha yeah, you'll have summer last pretty much until November. I don't know how people buy ahead so much on shoes, etc. I have a closet full of summer clothes that I'm hoping will fit. At least you can scour clearance racks later on for good deals if you need more stuff in September.

DD wore lots of cute rompers, or tunic dresses over capri leggings last summer, she was 15-18 months. She started to look funny in rompers in sept. She grew so tall and skinny, so it depends on the kids build. I found cute stuff everywhere, Target, Carters, OshKosh, Gap, and Janie and jack are my favorite
