DH had to attend to his grandmother at her nursing home, it's a 3 hour round trip in good traffic (wilted) So I'm solo for dinner at least, probably bath and bedtime too. I am too PG to lean over the tub, blah. But he needs a bath, so I'm gonna suck it up. I'm making PB&J for dinner though. That's the best I can muster.

@mrswindycity, that should be really easy to stain and paint. If you do it before you assemble it it will be even easier. You will want to lightly sand it prior to applying the stain.
I think we need to find a new daycare for DD and I'm really dreading it. But I feel like the lady we are using now is using way too much TV (it seems to always be on, and yesterday at drop off the 2 older kids were standing literally with their noses touching the screen to watch) and the rest of the day is just "free play". I see no plans for outside time, nothing structured, etc. She's really nice and I know she loves DD, but I think she's more running a babysitting service out of her home than a proper daycare.
Other than that, life is just kind of blah. DH's job isnt' going great, I feel constantly pulled in one direction or another with no time to just chill with DD and have fun, money is tight, DD is a grouch from the time change, my Grandma is in the hospital. I need some good luck or just something really great to happen to offset all the blah.
I got a random call from a Montana area code this afternoon. My first thought was @roseyposey is that you? Turned out to be spam.
A Maine number showed up on my phone, and my first thought was "what GBCNers do I know in Maine?" (I don't know any real-life people in Maine.) Never mind how the hypothetical GBCNer would have my number or why they would want to call me, lol.
I'm hanging out in a driveway waiting for someone to do a super thorough second showing (meaning he is in there with a ladder and tape measure doing his own home inspection). It's surprisingly nice and I have my windows open.
Also, I am pushing the envelope of what constitutes business casual at 37 weeks pregnant. Especially because most of my work clothes is wintery and it's 55*. (Denim jacket, black non-maternity maxi skirt, maternity tank, and toms.)
And, H is gone tonight and I preemptively don't feel like cooking tonight. I think DD and I might be dining at McDonald's for dinner.

I'm sitting in a dark room rocking sick and sleeping ds2 in a squeaky recliner. My right arm feels like it's going to fall off because I have to keep my bicep slightly flexed to keep his head where it's happy. Oh the joys of motherhood and baby snuggles..
I considered popping into Express just to take a look at "the shirt" today even though it's not the kind of piece I need/want right now. Then I happened to walk the 20 block stretch of Manhattan that didn't have a single Express store.

lol! The only GBCN phone numbers I have are catbus and @idaholakelady.
I just typed out a long vent about my parents and strings being attached to stuff, but my computer froze and I couldn't post it.
Long story short, my mom just texted me that I need to call my stepdad and thank him for something, even though I was on the phone with my mom and said thank you a hundred times, and he was standing right there and i even said "please tell *stepdad* thank you so much", which she relayed right then. I'm annoyed that I always have to profusely thank him for every single thing (having dinner at their house, etc). Its not that I don't say thank you, I overuse thank you, but fuck. Come on.

"There's been a GBCN emergency! All hands on deck!"

I'm cooking a turkey today. I think it's just about finished, but I can't go check since I have kids sleeping on me. I hope it turns out well. I've never made a turkey before.
I can hack this right? I mean, I am a total imbecile when it comes to DIY anything but I feel like I could do a dark stain on the top and paint the legs, right? lol

I took both boys to the zoo today and I'm wiped out. Wearing the baby and a backpack while pushing the toddler in the stroller is no joke!
DS1 behaved spectacularly well. I went with my mom's group and there were three other boys his age and they all ran around in a pack like happy crazy puppies. He is such a social little guy, I have no idea how hermits like DH and myself produced him.

To make up for my crazy morning of doctor's appointments, blood work, surprise CT scans and pg tests, I popped into the rack after my dentist appointment and bought 2 tops, a sports bra, and my first MZ wallace bag (on clearance for $75). So much for spending freeze!
I'm being ridiculous: 1 I hate that there is a draft for my 6 yo's tee ball team. 2 I'm going to some museum thing at the mall by my ILs Thursday. There will be 4 adults so I joked (kind of) that the other 3 could take the kids while I went to the Macy's going out of business sale. They flipped at the thought of having my 3 kids in public. I really just don't want to spend time with them.
I just realized I hit Senior Member sometime last week. 5000 posts, baby!
It's 71 degrees and I'm taking C for his first walk in the stroller as soon as he wakes up from his nap. Ah I love early spring days! I hope the weather stays nice.
DD still has diarrhea. She is acting fine, eating normally, playing and just being her normal self. Hopefully she starts having more solid stools so I can go back to work on Thursday. DH took today but I don't think he can take Thursday too so that (in addition to Monday and Wednesday) would fall on me. Is there anything I'm supposed to have her eat to firm up her stools?
