C has always lost her damn mind if we talk to her via the monitor. For the last THREE NIGHTS IN A ROW she has been standing in crib until I ask her to lay down and go to sleep via the monitor. SHE'S ACTUALLY DONE IT!!
Feel free to share your small parenting wins of late.
my 12 month old can now hold his own crackers, etc. and feed himself. his babysitter taught him this in a matter of hours after i struggled in vain for months, but whatev. it has made my life infinitely easier to be able to hand him a rice cracker when he's being whiny and i just need 3 minutes to get something done.
At my girls' 18m visit the dr asked if the girls had been kicked out of the NICU follow up program yet because they really don't need it and he considers them very healthy developmentally on track 18m olds.
DS has finally stopped flinging his hands around if they're dirty, and says "napkin please" instead. Finally! I am so used to him flinging jelly/humus/whatever when it gets on his hands. I've been working on "napkin please" for so long!
My mom has taught N to sing "clean clean clean" when she wipes his hands and face after a meal, which used to be a battle for us. Now he happily chirps "klee klee klee" and holds out his hands to be wiped, and even reminds me if I forget to clean him up by singing.
My fiercly independent child has decided that it is her job to get undressed, take off her diaper, lay down on her new diaper and wipe herself each morning.
Ds1 will finally FINALLY let me put him to bed and leave before he's asleep! I just have to warn him ahead of time that I'll just sit for 5 minutes. Finally nights when I've got to do double bedtime won't be hell
AJ is finally combining signs without me having to model the whole thing for him. In the last couple of days we've had "more eat" and "more please". It's the cutest thing ever.

DS1 FINALLY peed on the toilet at daycare. I've been home on maternity leave and he has been fine sans diaper since January. Except at daycare. Little stinker Bribery didn't work. He just kept saying he was scared. This was a big deal for me yesterday. Never do happy to hear my boy had peed.
M has decided he is ready to use the potty. We have had some accidents, but he is on board. After 5 years, I am beginning to see light at the end of the diaper tunnel.
Knock on wood, but dd is letting us put her in her bed and going to sleep without rocking her for a million minutes. I hope this trend keeps up!! It was rough there for awhile.
