We have the option to do one of these three things, expenses paid (or we can hang out at the resort). Which would you choose for yourself, DH, and a child (2.5)?
I'm leaning towards Moody Gardens. I think DD is too little to really enjoy Schlitterbahn or Pleasure Pier but we haven't been to any of these so I'm unsure.
I haven't been to the schlitterbahn in Galveston, but the one in Kansas City, is not kid friendly at all and is too intimidating for me honestly--it's all big slides and such. There aren't any regular pools and the only kids pool is right next to the swim up bar (making both suck)
My kids really liked moody gardens, especially the water park/ beach area.
If you have time also check out the Kemah boardwalk. The kids thought that was the best thing ever.
We won't have time that weekend but we live in Houston so we will make it down there eventually! I'm not a big fan of Landry's restaurants and DD is still too young to really make the drive worth it for us right now.
